Inhume BB Instant Search your library for two creature cards with different names and reveal them. An opponent chooses one of those cards. Remove the chosen card from the game and put the rest into your graveyard. "Pity about the other corpse. She would have made an excellent drone." Just something I was fiddling with the other day. 'Fixing' Entomb would make a fun archetype about 400 times more playable and hopefully this version of the same concept would not find its way into the combo decks that restricted one of my favorite cards. I'm not much of a combo player so I'm not really apt to find a way to break this; the two combos I can think of that one could try and enact with this card (WGD and Sutured Ghoul) don't exactly fit into the same 60 cards; I doubt one could push both builds in the same space, so ignoring that as a possibility I see people choosing whether Akroma or Rorix smashes their face, or whether Verdant Force or Phantom Nishoba swings, etc. Did I miss something?

It's pretty hard to bury enchantments.

its name also implies a play-on-words with Exhume, which as we all know only reanimated creature cards.
Of course, if you really want to emphasize the play on words, it would go something like:
"Each player may search his or her library for a creature card, reveal it, and put it into his or her graveyard. If a player does, that player shuffles his or her library."
But that's a bit different from the entomb functionality (and also much more abusable since for all intents and purposes it IS entomb in Dragon).
As it is, the only thing that really seems to stand out is that it should be "Remove that card from the game and put the other into your graveyard." You're only getting a maximum of two cards, so why on earth would you have to refer to a single card as "the rest"?
To be honest, the card seems like a weaker version of Buried Alive. Whether we want that or not is up for debate.

Christ, I hate Buried Alive. It prevents the first turn fatty goodness of old and drawing multiples is incredibly lame. I mean, it's cool to bury Reya and two fatties, or Rorix, Bladewing and the shitty Thrall, or even the Cloudscraper-Ghoul thing, but a lot of the deck's consistency left with the other three copies of Entomb. I casted this card to allow for the old Entomb-Exhume goodness to still be a possibility, even if Inhume-Reanimate is decidedly weaker. It's only creatures because as Matt pointed out, it's sort of weird from a flavor point of view if you're burying Sorceries and Lands (non-creatures basically). Basically I think that for most single-target reanimation purposes this card's way better than BA. @ wording: The wording was based off Gifts Ungiven, and due to the nature of 'searching' a player does not necessarily find two cards with Inhume. I agree that it looks weird, but there may or may not always be an "other card", thus the use of "the rest".

Is that all? 24 hour clock, but a bit more discussion would be welcome since 5 posts seems scant.

Should be "put the other".

Necro'd. I really like this card. Didn't seem to have much resistance before. 24 Hour Clock, and I'm tacking it to the Master List Addition thread as well.

I don't see why a fixed Entomb should cost twice as much as Entomb.

You're saying this is OK as a B Instant? I'm not certain it is. An easy turn 1 fatty is still a bitch to deal with; choosing between Akroma and SSS isn't much of a choice at all. Still, having Entomb/Exhume back is appealing. I'll concede that it's plausible but not mandatory; what do the rest of you think?

It's still pretty easy to get a turn one fatty in play, since you can just cast reanimate instead.
In fact, this with living wish is some serious tech

Yeah, I know all abouts Inhume/Reanimate yo. Entomb/Exhume >> Inhume/Reanimate. I wanted to make this a reasonably likely play without just tromping on Entomb's domain. I mean, Reanimator's probably jank enough that enabling lots of ways to turn 1 a fatty isn't that big a deal, but it's still a concern for me. The Akroma/SSS split didn't even exist when I imagined this card, and I guess that's probably not tech enough to get worried about even if you can pack 4 Inhume, 1 Entomb. Since Inhume + 'reanimate spell' should always be strictly worse than Entomb + 'reanimate spell', I'm leaning towards just costing it at B.

MMMMM k, I'll bite. It's nowhere near as good as Entomb. It's a B Instant now. Clock?
