No room in the house exceeds a length of twenty-five feet, let alone fifty feet, let alone fifty-six and a half feet, and yet Chad and Daisy's voices are echoing, each call responding with an entirely separate answer. In the living room, Navidson discovers the echoes emanating from a dark, doorless hallway which has appeared out of nowhere in the west wall.

It always was a very nice tournament in Castricum, too bad Teun (the judge) chooses to stop organizing it.. At least for now, maybe he keeps organizing Vintage tournaments in Amsterdam I played a Workshop aggro deck and didn't go so well, sadly.. It was extremely funny (although it was also somewhat tragic) to play against Koen. I actually died in game one due to several beats I received from a frickin' Confidant (yes, beatdown to the max ) combined with a small Tendrils.. None of my big fat critters ever saw the table, because he just kept throwing FoW's and Drains around  Greetz, Menno

It was a great tournament as it always is in Castricum. I also think it's too bad it was the last. But Teun did a great job giving the Limited Edition Castricum T-Shirts! I got one for being the most faithful player at castricum-tourney's it said. "Castricum conceived of nothing without me, 4-12-2005" (but it was in Dutch, and i'm not very good at translating )

None of my big fat critters ever saw the table, because he just kept throwing FoW's and Drains around Glad you enjoyed our match, I sure did The fun part was that I was able to counter about 5 of your spells after throwing away 2 drains to a Thirst. And the fact that confidant deals more damage to your opponent than to yourself makes this card better than most people think. For those interested in my deck I will post some more information about it later, when I got some more time. I enjoyed all Castricum tournaments, when Castricum was the only place that held competitive vintage tournaments in the Netherlands, but also when I turned more into a funny tournaments to try out new decks and odd creations. @ Koen: Your deck did look very intiresting. I would be intirested to know how "combo" pieces such as Bargain and Desire did in what seems like a control deck. Also, was it worth running 2 Tundras just for the white spells in the sideboard? They just seem out of place and could be unnecessary wasteland targets.

When I saw Koen's deck on Morphling.de my first thought was 'He did it.' This of course refers to his anouncement to be willing to test TPS with a combined number of both Rituals and Drains. It seems to me that he tried to merge Gifts.dec and TPS, cut Rituals at some point and generates Storm through Rebuilds.

A very nice day indeed it was, to bad me (steffen, fcg) had to play against oath so much (had like 5 times turn 1 or 2 oath againts me) and ofcourse against koen's super build damn you engineerd plague for being so nasty to me for the first time since... EVER and damn me for not playing naturalize instead of artifact mutation, didn't do me any good a single time. To bad it had to be the last castri.

That was my thought as well, but good job Koen, either way. Confident is really powerful

That was my thought as well, but good job Koen, either way. Confident is really powerful I agree, Confidant is an amazing tool. What is most exciting, however, is that this proves that what used to be thought of as nearly impossible, is indeed, possible. Drain and Ritual combo can be made into a hybrid of destruction. I, myself, have been waiting for this for a while now. I'm very excited. I never liked putting my Drains away to play "true combo".

As always Teun did a great job at organising this tournament. As always i brought a fun deck (well to a point, as intended to bore my opponents to death, which only succeeded partially).
It was nice to be there for the last Castricum. All cudos to Teun for running it for so long.
I dropped with stasis after going 1 1 2. It was my stasis/staxx hybrid that did its job well enough but lost to topdecking and manaflood/manascrew in one game. So it still is worth trying again but only for fun as it just is to slow. The draw was after i did not have enough time to capitalise on his tapped manavault. Btw, staxx really is a bad matchup, always struggling to stay close.
We did stay for the prizes although we were all out of contention for them. But this was a tribute to one of the better judges our little country knows. It was always fun with Teun and he always knew we would be playing something funny. So now we need to find another tournament to try out funny things.

Teun said he probably was continuing organizing vintage tournaments, but instead of Castricum he wants to settle in Amsterdam.. So hopefully he succeeds and we'll still be playing against your fun decks in the future Greetz, Menno
