So which is it? My FAVORITE has to be Raiders of the Lost Ark (Hence the old Harrison Ford avatar) followed closely by Ghostbusters. Pretty in pink, cocktail, and short circuit were all amazing too.

It's such a shame we don't have more decent movies these days. We have shit like "Cheaper by the Dozen" and "Just Friends" (Although Rent was fucking amazing). Where have all the Molly Ringwolds, Tom Cruises, and Harrison Fords gone?

FUCK--Tremors was released Jan 19, 1990.  So close to the cut off...

I guess I'd have to go with Raiders of the Lost Ark.  The movie is insane.

I'd have to go with Caddyshack (1980, yes!).  That movie just has so many classic lines and such awesome characters, I still love watching it even though I've seen it a million times.

I really liked Crusade too, dont worry, hehe, youre not alone.

But OBV the star wars movies, and the parody version in Space Balls as well...

Blade Runner was pretty good too.

My vote however for 80's movie though HAS to be fasttimes at ridgemont high. It screams 80's like few other movies...

As my avatar and other quotes give away, I'm a major Ghostbusters fan. Bill Murray movies in general were pretty awesome back then, though.

Well you can still say it was made in the 80's.

My vote: Raiders, and Murray movies, even his new ones (Life Acquatic and Lost in Translation) are excellent.

Breakfast Club
Risky Business
Ferris Bueller's Day Off

All 80's gold right there.

For some reason, I keep thinking that National Lampoon's Senior Trip is from the 80's. Because if it was, it wins by a mile.

Well, instead of listing stuff everyone else did like Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Ark I decided to list my favorite movies from the 80s that haven’t been listed so far.
1.) E.T. – I can’t believe no one said this. It is a kid’s movie, but it was still one of the best movies of the decade.
2.) Full Metal Jacket – My favorite Vietnam movie. I even liked it better than another famous 80s war movie, Platoon.
3.) Rain Man – This was the best movie I have ever seen that dealt with the mentally handicapped, period.
4.) Crossroads – Staring Ralph Macchio and Joe Seneca with a small roll in which Steve Vai plays the role of the Devil’s guitarist.
5.) Fatal Attraction – How many people do think thought twice about cheating on their wife after watching this?
