I'm all over this, once the excavation of my cards from the inches of dust that has accumulated is complete. I will probably have 1, maybe a second coming with me.

cool beans...the more the merrier..

We are currently in search of somebody who owns a set of balls (heh, that sounds bad, eh?) and maybe a few sticks (woah...hey buddy where are you going with this?) so we can utilize the pool table at the hall we are renting...

If anybody could help out with this that would be much appreciated, heh...

Also if anybody wants to loan the use of their XBox 360 that would be hot on the 60 inch TV we have access to, otherwise it will have to be my PS2...

I realize this is a double post but we are adding a bit of info...

We will be having a Sould Caliber 2 OR Capcom Vs. SNK 2 tournament as well after round 3 or 4 of this event. It will be free for anybody interested and there will be a cool little prize of a Nikko Air Flow Controller for the PS2 ($30.00 value) format will be single elimination versus battles. (either 5 character team battles for SC2 or 5 round single character battles for CSNK2) If you want to bring your own PS2 Controllers for this that is okay, but please no pre-programmed garbage, heh...no cheating, its supposed to be fun...

Also

We are having a raffle for a free Portable CD Player ($30.00 value) for players who are also signed up on the www.norcalmagic.tk forums with a minimum of 1 post, heh. So anybody who hasnt signed up and is planning on attending the tournament should take a minute to sign up and make a simple post and you get in on the action.

Prize Structure with 0-32 players will be

1st - Choice of Timetwister OR Digital Camera
2nd - Whichever they dont pick
3rd - Choice of Mana Crypt or Portable CD Player
4th - whichever they dont pick

We are planning on actually having a 3rd place match too since the prize is relevant and we dont want it to be based solely on tie breakers...its also kinda a neat idea that ive not seen anybody else doing, heh...

Payouts to 5-8th will be dependant on further players showing up...then all bets are off and we might just give out a Mox, heh...

feel free to shoot me any questions at norcalmagic@hotmail.com or send a PM on the www.norcalmagic.tk forums....

See you all there!

This first event went over really well. MAD PROPS to Lunar and the rest of the gang for getting this off the ground. I was also very impressed at the strong SoCal gang that came up to represent. At any rate, looking forward to the next one and thanks for putting this on. Very Well done!

Just as an update guys, we are moving the Bazaar event from the 4th to the 11th of March...this is so there is minimized competition from the Milpitas T1 series...

I apologize for the switch, but it should improove overall attendance and whatnot, heh..

good news is I locked down the 2nd place prize...Prize structure for the Bazaar event now looks like:

1st: Bazaar of Baghdad
2nd: SanDisk "Sansa" MP3 player (retail at around $80)

More details coming soon...

Hey guys, just as an update, we are moving this back a day to Sunday the 12th due to schedualing conflicts with a local PTQ..

we are also going to postpone the april tourney due to a mass influx of other T1 in the area...we promise to make this up with a very very big tournament at the end of summer or early fall!

Hope to see you all on March 12th!
