I actually have played Mystic Remora and it is such a beating against TPS. Yeah, I know it is pretty good. But I just don't have a deck to put it in. I don't feel like I have to improve in the TPS matchup since my board handles them admirably.

Exploration post-Gush... I've tried it in everything. Oath, Constant mists recursion, Enchantress (GW, BG, UG), Turbo-confinement. I thought Crucible was an omen when I saw it but apparently not. Quirion Dryad (post-Gush). Treetop Village. Isochron/Chant (happends to suck in Vintage).

I have a playset of blood oaths that I have always wanted to exploit. blood oath and jester's mask for the finisher. Maybe I can build a gifts deck around it.
I have also always wanted to build a proteus staff deck with manlands.

my first ubastax lists had tons of cards I liked, that I since discovered are not good
citanul flute - load up on welders granite shard - gun down enemy welders candelbra tawnos - bazaar is so good, lets use it again anvil of bogardan - mini-thirst every turn! too bad enemy gets it too words of war - huge win condition w bazaar, plus uncounterable welder kill
other cards I really like army ants - its like crucible+strip in one card! mystic remora - if this many ppl wish this was good, maybe it really is. keldon arsonist - I really want to kill your lands lightning greaves/goblin warchief - nothing's scarier than hasted welder mana vortex - I absolutely hate your lands. magus of the unseen - interesting disruption funeral charm - efficient little utility card I always liked

Possessed Portal. This has got to be the most freaking cool effect ever, but it's just too damn hard to set up. I can usually find a way to sneak one into an Uba Stax deck, but never because it's ideal. Also, the foil is sex.
Battlefield Scrounger. Man, is taking infinite turns cool. When Forbidden Orchard first came out, before Meandeck gave the world Akroma/SotN, I dicked around with Scrounger to set up Time Walk recursion. The real tech was upkeep Oath, then Cunning Wish -> Reclaim -> Time Walk to shave a turn off the clock.
True Believer was good for about three weeks after Trinisphere got restricted, when everyone played bad combo or bad CS. Then again, so was the next card.
Glowrider. Yes, I busted this puppy out. In multiples of four. One-sided Sphere of Resistence on legs is HOT. Or, it was, until other people started playing Fish too.
Damping Matrix. Makes one pimpy foil. In and out of my Welderless 5c Stax sideboard forever and a day.
Dream Halls. I remember when everyone was jumping on the unrestriction bandwagon, and people were talking about unrestricting it. Then they would talk about unrestricting Time Spiral. In the same post.
People are idiots.
Planar Void. It's costed right, and it wrecks Yawgmoth's Will and Goblin Welder. Everything else is gravy.
Demonic Consultation outside of combo. Again, costed right, and again, powerful effect. Even decks that aren't the restricted list + dark ritual have things that aren't 4-of, though.

Skullclamp. What is with this card? Its been one o' the most feared pieces of cardboard ever made. Yet i've never seen it in any good deck with moxen .
Treetop village comes second. This manland is top notch, yet can't find a home.

It's not so much bad, as it is completely misplaced. I moved this from Open to Basic User Community where we can still have some fun with it.
What's interesting to me is that half the cards mentioned have either been in decent Vintage decks of the past (e.g. Replenish in Blackjack.dec, Moat , 'Phling etc.) or have been appearing in subtier builds more recently (e.g. Skullclamp and Ornithopter in Kobold.dec).
I think he's looking for a different type of card. I really like Artificer's Intuition and feel it should be good in something.

Ive seen some just awful cards in this list, and I would like some explanations please...
Fastbond.. Timetwister.. Solumn Simulacrum.. Possessed Portal.. Choke.. Gush..
and a number of others I noticed when looking through this thread...
obviously these are all terrible and havnt ever been any good decks over the past year or so...I mean, seriously, no winning deck could possibly run any of these garbage cards right???
*sarcasm for those who are a bit dense....

1) Temporal Spring recursion based deck, the issue is, way too slow and anything that can recur it infinately can just win anyways. 2) Golgari Grave-Troll, this card is just asking to be further abused. 3) Artificers Intuition based deck. 4) Dwarven Recruiter for FCD (a competitive version.)
