Then later I will leave the chair disguise on your doorstep and you will realize what has happened and you will be afraid all the time. Helter Skelter mother fuckers!

The only real solution is to buy them from people on site.
The people with the best reputations are reliable. There are some super-proxies going around, that pass every single test.
The super-proxies can apparently only be distinguished by microscope, and others pass that test and can only be distinguished by chemicals, which ruin the card.

others pass that test and can only be distinguished by chemicals If this is true then why would it matter? Its interesting that perhaps this might be the best way for older cards to become "reprinted" .

Don't buy a $600 card from someone with 2 feedback.

If a fake is so good that it passes all the traditional tests for authenticity, then the card is real for everyone's purposes.

None of this is true. This isn't a flame, just a 45 hour a week pro-magic dealer letting you all know that the sky isn't falling. A microscope is helpful, but there are other tricks, and I've NEVER EVER heard of this crazy shit about chemical testing. If you are in vintage then your cards are worth enough money to get a friend who knows the ins-and-outs of power and faking.

I bought the first lotus I ever had off ebay from someone with 1 feedback (and no picture) for $250... this was of course a long time ago. I was also very naive at the time, and while it worked out for me, I wouldn't suggest anyone do this. Since I now have been ripped off once, let these people get their feedback up unless it's a really, really good deal and you're willing to take the risk.

The age old adage always applies..."If something seems too good to be true, it probably is". The only real solution is to buy them from people on site.
Or from Teddy.

Seconded. The only decent fakes out there are those idiotic Unlimited proxies on Ebay that you can tell are fake in person, and rebacked CE, which you can bend-test.

I'm sorry everyone, I don't even know when I wrote this. I must have been drunk. Sorry about that. I think I was trying to be sarcastic funny or something.

This is so true. Perhaps you are paying more buying from a good seller, but at least your getting an authentic card, and on 600+, what does 20 or even 50 more bucks matter if you have pretty much 0 chance of getting ripped?
