As of January 13th, I will no longer be the Managing Editor of StarCityGames.com, but will instead be the editor of MagictheGathering.com.

Under Ted, SCG really pushed Type I, a good thing was done, and I will be sad to see him go. Nothing made me happier then hearing people in the SCG forums complain that there was too much (!) type I converage, and not enough of anything else.

I, for one, am happy as fuck to see knut leave. He was nothing but rude when I did have a chance to meet him. In my eyes, he's the epitome of what a Vintage player is not, and so I say good riddance. SCG will do fine, as Pete Hoefling and Ben Bleiwess are awesome guys and will continue their support for our format. Hopefully more players will be motivated to write for SCG in the upcoming year.

On a side note, I always thought Menendian's articles were extremely influential. I especially liked his article on 5c stax. Silvestri also had some pretty good articles (although not on vintage).

Since Knut is gone, maybe I'll try to write an article or two for SCG again.  I really don't like writing, so I'm not even sure if I'll do it.  At least maybe my tournament reports can get up there now.
