OK, so I still can't access TMD at work. It appears to be a local problem. The strange this is that the PC that belongs to the girl in my office doesn't have any problems opening it. Now I've just found out that it works when I use a proxy.

Does anyone have any idea what this all means? Are they intentionally blocking the site from (specifically) my PC, or what? I just don't know anymore.

I have the same problem on my own pc, but it just works on my dad's. Could it be that the IP/DNS got changed back again? I recall changing that a few weeks back on my own pc. Have you done this as well?

I've done nothing at all. everything was just fine and dandy before the transfer, and now it's dead. I never changed the hosts file at all on this machine, to begin with. I tried it though, and it didnt work.

Enabling / discab;ing the proxy server is a solution, but it's also a hassle and I'm not sure how legal it is. Maybe I'm circumventing a block, and as such breaking the rules.

Try and find which IP your computer thinks tmd has (start cmd, then "tracert themanadrain.com"). Maybe it's still got the old one in its cache. Tracert will also help you know where the f*ck-up is.

Wow, that's an awesome feature. I'm trying it at home now; I'll try again tomorrow. It should be 69.50.210.4, right? (or am I reading this wrong?) Thanks man!

Well, the problem's gotten progressively worse over the last couple of days. For one thing, my system admin started blocking the proxy server I was using, so no more TMD@work for me. To make matters worse, the same bloody thing started happening to me at home! (not the proxy blocking, but the fact that the site was unavailable).

But AT LAST I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE! No wait, that's not what I wanted to say. I mean - problem solved. By doing nothing whatsoever. Hooray!

Go to a command prompt.

Type ipconfig /flushdns

Hit enter.

Let me know how that goes.
