Thanks!

I'll be there and I'll be bringing down a friend or two from KU.
Finally, a legacy tournament in Michigan.

Thanks! Yes. Pandemonium is still hosting weekly Legacy on Thursdays at 7:00pm. Its a really casual environment on thursdays, which usually ends up being a round robin style, unsanctioned tournament, comprised of players testing out deck changes. It can sometimes get interesting between a couple DTB's, but most often it's all in good fun. Pandemonium will sanction any thursday night event if 8 or more players, who want it sanctioned, show up to play. The most I've seen there on a thursday was 16.

Awesome! Glad you can make it. I hope you bring that trash you played at the GPT. Then all your talking will be trash for sure. There will be no trips to the finals table for you.

I'll be there. I'll be playing mad comboinh out on my way to the finals, where I predict I'll draw all of the land in my deck after mulling to 4 each game.
Just wait, either Flame Vault, Iggy Pop with Leylines, Solidarity (with secret tech), or something completely different.
And if I get my third tabernacle before Saturday, I might even go 1998 Prison on the area. Who knows, except I won't be playing Threshold, Confidant, or Goblins, because DTBs suck.

I love how people always hate to play DTBs because they feel it takes less skill. DTB are the only the way they are because of the people that pilot them. With that in mind, expect to get beat by a DTB.

Psh. Hell no. My janky UR/w Control deck is gonna lay the smackdown. So yes, there will be a trip to the finals table for me. In fact, I might be so far ahead in points, that I get byes into both of the finals spots. So there might be, in fact, two trips to the finals for me. We'll just have to wait and see.

My 3-spheres loves them some Control decks. Can you hear that sound? It's off in the distance. Thought not. It's because you don't make any sound when you don't play any spells because I resolve 3-sphere, Smokestack, Time Vault, and say "pick up your deck." Now would be a great time to maindeck those Pithing Needles and Null Rods. (Don't take these posts too seriously.)

Oh yeh?
You won't be able to resolve anything against my inpenetrable wall of 4 FoW, 4 C-Spell, 4 Mana Leak, 4 Remand, 4 Hinder, 4 Daze, 4 Force Spike, 4 Annul, 4 Absorb, and 4 Stifle.
You ain't got nothing on me.

I was thinking this morning about Michigan legacy. If the people posting are the people that show, our meta would be 6+ people piloting well-tuned DTBs and we might all end like 3-2 with crazy tiebreakers every tournament. But even with 8-10 people, if the competition is that high we should be in for an awesome tournament.
Update: one of my friends can't make it so I have an extra deck to loan out if anyone has a person that'd like to go but doesn't have a deck to run last minute.
See ya'll there!

Meh. Third place. I expected better of myself X_x.
Nevertheless, I'm glad Team Predict made a strong showing.
Props to Dan for organizing the tournament. I hear it's going to be a monthly thing?
Anyways, I might write a semi-quasi-detailed report later, but I didn't really take notes or pay attention too closely.
Round 1: 2-1 against White Weenie; 1-0
Round 2: 0-2 against Zoo (piloted by Dan); 1-1
Round 3: 2-0 against R/G Aggro; 2-1
Round 4: 2-0 against BW Confidant (piloted by Spencer ;_;); 3-1
Top 4: 0-2 against Threshold (piloted by Matt)
Battle for the Toilet: 2-1 against Goblins
So I finish in a dissapointing third place, and take home a toilet. It was unfortunate that I had to play Spencer in the last round, as it meant one of us would get knocked out of contention. It was also unfortunate that the damned Affinity kid forced Dan into a draw, which really messed up his chances of Top 4'ing. But yeh,I should have beaten Matt, but my deck failed game one, and he had a ridiculous start of Compost, Mongoose, Mongoose game two. Oh well.
There was a pretty good tournout; 16 players, I believe. The meta-game was pretty diverse, as well as strong. It was predominantly Aggro. I think the only Combo there was emidln's Flame Vault Stax, and there was at least one Landstill/blue -based Control.
And the obligatory Props and Slops: Props: Dan, for organizing the tournament. Dan, for showing up for the sole purpose of beating me, and succeeding. Spencer, for the decklist. Darren, for going 0-4, and winning the Rod of Spanking (and then getting it signed by the judges). Matt, for owning me and taking First Place.
Slops: The DBZ tournament that, for whatever reason, had more people than us. Aforementioned Affinity kid, for screwing with Dan. Matt, for owning me.
And I'm out.
*edit* Oh yeh, I played BW Confidant.
*edit2* Yeh, it was 0-2 against Dan. My bad.

8th place with a score of 2-2 I don't suppose it was a big deal losing to Richard thanks to the fact that we had identical decklists and the entire game was decided by who had the better opening hand. It was fun just the same. I completely agree with all props and the only slop I must add is getting land screwed with a 27 mana source deck... Three times.

Whenever I hear ridiculously bad manascrew claims, my first inclination is to suspect the person's shuffling.

I would have thought so too. However I shuffled excessively just to make sure that wasn't the case. I first shuffled roughly 5-8 times the regular way (shuffling name?). Then I pile shuffled into 6 stacks to mix everything up a bit. Then I shuffled several more times. It was pure luck to be fair. Bad luck. It happens.

Congratualations to MasterShake for winning. I don't know if he posts on TMD, but he piloted his UGW Threshold deck well. Thanks to Dan for organizing a fun tournament too.
I ended up 7th at 2-2 after scrubbing pretty hard to decklist changes last minute. Slops to me for that, and slops to me for complaining so much. Maybe even slops to me for apparently not shuffling properly because I consistenty was manascrewed (no land) in a decklist that was running 27 land and 4 moxen.
One more thing, the goblins build at the tournament was running Goblin Goons. This seems to be good tech.
I'm looking forward to the next Michigan Legacy tournament I can attend!
