Pastimes will be hosting a Type1 tournament in April for an Ancestral Recall. Second place will receive a brand new foil regrowth.  If this tourney gets good attendance there will be future tournaments scheduled. These can be a great practice for SCG events and further establish the T1 metagame for the midwest. We had 36 last time, please help me keep this going.  Here is the info:

Location: Pastimes
             8351 Golf Road
             Niles, IL
Date: April 2, 2006
Proxy Rules: 5 plus $1 for each additional Proxy
Sanctioned: No
Entry Fee: $20 + proxies over 5
Entry Time: 11:00 am
Prize: Garaunteed Ancestral Recall for first.  Second place receives a foil regrowth.  Additional prizes based on attendance.

*applause* Midwest magic = the tech.  Props to Pastimes for continuing to hold these tournaments.  My group really had a blast last time and they'll be looking forward to attend this one.  Keep it up.

O rly?  That prize increase seems like it might be enough to get me to come out there.

But not on April 2nd.

This event is still on for sunday.  I've received some concerned emails about it not being on the website or in the newsletter and that is being addressed currently.  Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Sunday...booo

Sorry, but I really have to repeat this.  Saturdays are usually so much better for people.  That way us college students don't have to drive back to school Sunday night at midnight.  Oh, and for people that have real jobs too.
