Only 13 people attended for the drain tournament. So it was 4 rounds of Swiss, with no T4 or T8.  Sad

1) Dhondt Wouter 10 62.5 Gifts
2) Berukof Ilja 10 60.4 Strange slaver build
3) Froyen Bart 9 54.2 No idea
4) De Clercq Stijn 9 43.75 MUD
5) Pieter Thysebaert 7 62.5 Uba Stax
6) Van den Bril Sean 7 58.3 Dragon
7) Talpe Mitchell 6 60.4 Confidant TPS
8) Steurs Tim 6 56.2 3cc

1 and 2 split. I forgot to ask the decklists from the TO, so I don't know what Bart played (didn't see him play).

No room in the house exceeds a length of twenty-five feet, let alone fifty feet, let alone fifty-six and a half feet, and yet Chad and Daisy's voices are echoing, each call responding with an entirely separate answer. In the living room, Navidson discovers the echoes emanating from a dark, doorless hallway which has appeared out of nowhere in the west wall.

Why aren't there any proxie tournaments in Belgium ? I'm not sure but I don't think there has ever been one ? I can assure you that there would have been 4 to 5 players more in this event that I know off alone. With GP Lille more people own duals & fows at my local shop and the only thing that stops them from playing Vintage is the price of power cards.
Is it because of the support you get from Wizards if its sanctioned or the fact that most vintage players (who own power) don't like proxies or is their Eternal rating so important to them ?

Another thing the dutchies might want to answer: why did the tournaments in Eindhoven stopped being proxy events ? I looked around on the boards at that time but no reason was given.

I apologize up front because it's not my intention to hijack your thread and start a discussion about proxies but I've been wanting to ask this question for a while now and I'm getting tired of playing Fish, TMWA & other budget decks in the few Vintage events there are in our little country ...

Sorry if I sound incoherent. I want to try to answer your question, but I'm feeling sick as hell. So I'm giving it my best shot.

We don't have any proxy events because it either doesn't change the number of people showing up, or the number even declines. Look at the proxy tournaments in Eindhoven: in the beginning a few extra players with proxies showed up. After 2 tournaments, those people didn't show up anymore. So what is the point in having proxy tournaments if no one that attends the tournament is using proxies? You might as well give sanctioned events. I think it's strange that people say they will attend if the TO allows proxies, and none of those actually show up at proxy events. We haven't had proxy events in Belgium, so it might be different. But I seriously doubt it. We'll just have to wait for a TO to do a proxy tournament. Our player base is from Ghent, and we are thinking of organizing a tournament so maybe we can do a proxy tournament and see how it goes.

I don't think many vintage players care about their rating, or are scared of proxies dropping the value of their power.

I don't believe the attendance was low due to the tournament being sanctioned. The biggest problem was 2 big vintage tournaments in the Netherlands at the same day.  Well, it would have been better with 4 / 5 people more, so maybe proxies is the way to go. I think there where 2 or 3 unpowered decks at this tournament.
