How many people went to this?  The prize support is certainly skewed.  With $5 a piece for 12 people I'd think $60 worth of cards would be the prize pool.

Quote
1st place: choice of Savannah, Scrubland or Plateau
2nd place: Watery Grave
3rd Place: Adarker Waste

That's not $60 even on SCG.

Adarkar Wastes is $7
Watery Grave is $15
Savannah or Plateau is $22.50 in Mint
Scrubland is $25 in Mint
In my experience, Duel Lands are rarely mint, so it's more like $20 a piece.

I'm not sure what the door prizes are, but they'd have to be better than the tournament prizes to make it a fair pay out.

The door prizes mentioned are a free rare to everyone who enters. Granted, they'll probably be $1 rares, but still, better than a kick in the teeth.

Currently we are only gettinh 6 -7 people. As word spreads we will invrease the prize pool. The free rare is a rare pulled straight from a pack, the store keeps the commons and uncommons. If there are any foils the entrant also keeps those.
Thanks
Bill

NOTE: Before talking down about a tournament why not show up.

We had a great turnout this week. The store would like to tank the 15 players that came out to show support. The prize support was as follows.
1st Volcanic Island
2nd Steam Vents
3rd Adarker Waste
every entrant received a free rare pullled from a pack for entering.
The last Sunday in June we will be having a Tournament for a Unlimited Berserk.

On 6/11 we had 12 platers enter the tournament, thank you for the support. The winners are as follows:
Bill-Savannah
Tom-Steam Vents
Chris Adarker Waste
All that entered received a rare pulled from a fresh pack, 3 people received Dual Lands
Hope to see you there next week. If we get 12 people 1st will be a Savannah, if we get 13 or more 1st will be a Volcanic Island.
