Lower than hoped for turnout, not good to clash with local con and GP in Toronto...

Oh well went ahead smoothly and had a blast running it.  Filled in as player #20, using my 4th choice deck (Kobold Clamp), not allowing myself mulligans or sideboarding all day, and still drew into the top 8, where I finally faced disruption.

Thanks to all who turned up, you make these events really fun to be at.

Congratulations to Joe Giancarli with his "Partiot Act" deck, which appropriately screwed the competition and went home with the power.

I'd be interested to hear how UWR fish deck beat Ravager Affinity.  It seems like even if the fish deck is lucky enough to get an early Null Rod that all of affinities creatures are just better.  The games where is doesn't get turn 1-3 Null Rod I can see it having any way to win.  Also I believe that the affinity player had Oxidize in the board which is a cheap and efficient answer to Null Rod.

I'm almost certain that in games 1 and 2, he hit turn 1 null rod (i'm sure he hit it in one of the games, i can't remember which one)... it might have been turn 2 or 3, but either way, it was early enough...
