I'm relatively new to magic but I love vintage. Other formats aren't as much fun for me. I notice that there are Amateur Standard tournaments, but are there any amateur vintage tournaments? The local weekend store tournament has gotten boring because I play against the same Oath and CS every time. I want to play something bigger, but I don't feel like drinving to a P9 tournament just to lose horribly. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.

You should drive to P9 tourney.  Because of the Swiss system you will only lose horribly the first 2-3 rounds.  After that you will be playing other players who are 0-3 so you will be on equal footing.  I had a friend who brought a joke Parfait deck with Words of Wisdom/Well of Lost dreams combo.  Anyway, he started out 0-3 and then had a blast winning three out of his last 5 games.

Where do you live in WI? I live in Winona, MN, about 5 min from Wisonson one way and about 30 minutes from LaCrosse WI the other way... I have been trying to start a Viontage scene here in Winona...
