As per MuzzonoAmi's request:

I scrubbed out of the real Tournament yesterday so we sat down to play some Mental. In the first game, it was Ted, Willie and I. Willie played out an early Fanatic, which I answered with Silver Knight. Later on, I play Pyknite. I then follow with Balduvian Horde (should have been Fledgling Dragon) and use Relentless Assault to tank Willie for 10 damage. Ted finishes him off with a Serra Angel. Later, I attack Ted with the 'nite and Horde. He blocks Pyknite and I use Hammer of Bogardan to finish off Serra. The game quickly ended from there.

The next game was massive-- four players off one shared deck and graveyard. I think everyone was trying to stabilize early. Once again, I had an early Pyknite out. I later cast Verduran Enchantress. It died, frowns. That is supposed to happen though. One of the opponents casts Infest-- at this point, I Otherworldly Journey my Pyknite and DRAW ANOTHER CARD FROM IT. HOW GOOD. Now it's 2/2 and coming at Muzzono "If I were a girl, Doug wouldn't be attacking me for shattering his dreams" Ami.

At this point the game had been going on for at least an hour. The graveyard was at least 30 cards. I decided it was time to strike. I returned Death Grasp and Squee from the graveyard to my hand, unfortunately seeing no Gigapedes or Krovikan Horrors to bring back (I missed that this guy is also Ashen Ghoul...). Someone cast Rout, to which I Thwarted to save my Pyknite, and though it was countered, Muzzono Boomeranged it to my hand. I tried to put Enchantress's Presence through but that obviously failed. I later got Etched Oracle into the fight, which helped out.

The game culminated with me getting Yawgmoth's Agenda AND Vedalken Orrery in play. I had a 40+ card hand at that point and since the real tournament was over and people were leaving, we all decided to scoop with me as perhaps the moral victor. I had such juicy targets as Zuran Orb, Rolling Earthquake, Misdirection, Maze of Ith, etc. in the graveyard/hand too. How good!
