Predicting Scroll
{2}
Artifact

When Predicting Scroll comes into play, name a card.
Whenever an opponent plays the named card, draw 2 cards.

"flavor still needed"

Current Wording

Scrying Scroll
{2}
Artifact

When Predicting Scroll comes into play, name a nonland card.
Whenever an opponent plays the named card, draw 2 cards.

"Know thy enemy"

I liked this card because I was thinking of a draw engine for Red, and then I thought of this card. I made it into an Artifact, but if this needs to be changed, I will change it.
Knowing your opponents deck can be great, and with this card it becomes amazing.
I think is too powerfull though atm, so what needs changing?

Yes,Tarmogoyf is probably better than Chameleon Colossus, but comparing it to Tarmogoyf is like comparing your girlfriend to Carmen Electra - one's versatile and reliable, the other's just big and cheap.(And you'd run both if you could get away with)

Actually I think this is easily your best card yet. Simple, elegant, and skill-testing, both for you (what to name) and your opponent (when is it correct to hold back vs. when is it correct to just let him have the two cards). I give it an 8.5 out of 10, all it really needs is a great name.

It's not too powerful, because unlike Pithing Needle the opponent still has the option of playing the named card if they want.

But unklike Needle, it can generate card advantage and restricts the card being played, not used. Needle on Withered Wretch would be carddisadvantage, while this usually isn't, and it can name non-activated cards. It compares to Meddling Mage, though i would agree that it is worse than any of those two. It could be a blue or white enchantment, but it seems ok as an artifact.

What about "Scrying Scroll"?

Does this need to be non-land?

Flavor text:

"I call a five."

"How did you know that?"

Nice card.  Doesn't stop a player playing the card, and can be turned into a massive card-advantage engine.

I changed it to "nonland", I forgot to put it in. land would be way to powerfull.

Now the name.

Mystical scroll, scrying scroll, predicting scroll, eye of time, ???

flavour text; what about : "Knowledge is power" or "gues again" or the ones Darkensight said.

Eye of Time would be abbreviated to eot, which isn't that clever. Mystical Scroll should be a tutor, and the two other names basically mean the same. I would go with Scrying Scroll.

"Knowledge is power" was already used on 8th edition Jayemdae Tome.

I quite like it. The flavour could be simply "Know your enemy." which is only used on Overrun but in a different way, or "It pays to do your homework" or something in similar vein. The name of the card could also be Scroll, Book or Tome of Preparation or Observation or similar to symbolize gathered intelligence (on the opponent), which is the idea of the card's function.

How about something like "Scroll of Hindsight" or "Forethought Tome"?

why dont my cards get added to the master list?

this card and http://www.themanadrain.com/index.php?topic=28868.0 this card. They both passed the 24 H clocks, I send emails to both people like the rules say, but still both cards are ignored... Sad

these are like the only 2 cards I am proud of, so I would like them to be added.

How about this quote:

It's much easier to add cards in batches, so we usually will wait until we have 10 or more to add and then do them all at once.
