Hey all,

As mentioned in the other thread, there will be a benefit tournament to help two very friendly members of our type 1 family.

**I apologize for the abruptness of this event, but I would like to extend the profit on this event to Jacob and Roland at Gencon.**

The tournament is going to be held at the Beaine Exchange in Springfield.
The Beanie Exchange
632 Kings Highway
West Springfield, Ma 01089
Phone: (413)731-0001

Time: Registration will begin at 11:00 am.  Tournament will start at 12:00 noon.

Proxies:15 Proxies are allowed

Entry Fee: $20(Please remember that ALL profit, that is, all money raised above and beyond the cost of the prizes will go to Roland and Jacob)

Prize: AT LEAST a Mox Jet based on 20 people.  Prizes will go down through top 8 and will be increased as attendance increases. Additionally, the winner will receive a PAID FOR round 1 bye to TMD Open 10!

Other fundraisers: I will attempt to do other fund raisers throughout the day, including, but not limited to, a 50-50 rafflee and a side Mana Drain torunament.

Donations: Many people wanted to give to the cause but could not make it.  If you wish to do so, you can send a donation with someone going down to the torunament, or mail it either to myself at
Raymond Robillard
711 East Main St. Apt C8
Torrington, Ct. 06790
(If you mail it, obviously send a check)

Or if you want to send it directly to Jacob and/or Roland, send them a PM cause I don't know their addresses.

Let's get behind our fellow Type 1 players and show them our support in this unfortunate time.

Hope to see you all there.

Any questions, reply away.

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

I'm in, and I'm going to try to muster up as many people as I can to go to this.

I actually had to explain to someone why Mana Drain was better than Counterspell. That was depressing...

Then they asked why Black Lotus was better than Gilded Lotus. I walked away.

I'd go but I'll be in rehearsal.  Hope you get a good turnout.

Theres a prize? I thought the tourney was strictly to support Jacob and Roland.

My sentiments exactly Kowal.

Myriad Games will be donating a batch of Myriad Games Mana Cookies to this event. Derek has been kind enough to deliver them since I will be unable to attend due to work. While we do not sell Mana Cookies, this is a special occasion where we are happy to accept donations to benefit Jacob & Roland. Ray will be in charge of collecting the proceeds as he will be handling the other funds as well. The minimum donation for a Mana Cookie will be $1 and there will be no maximum. This will allow people to make that little extra donation, whether it's $1, $2, $5, whatever you feel is appropriate, and receive a tasty Mana cookie as well!

All proceeds will go directly to Roland & Jacob by way of Ray.

Ugh, I'll be working every day from now until two sundays from now.  Alas, this means I won't be attending.

I'll poke around in my collection for some stuff to donate though, and see if I can't have Caleb or someone carry it to the venue for me.

Myself, my female and 2 random fat men in pink t-shirts will be going at the very least.
