Where: Pandemonium
1858 Middlebelt
Garden City, MI 48135
(734)-427-2451

When: Saturday, Sept 2nd
Sign-up begins at 1:00pm
Tournament starts at 2:00pm

Format: Legacy, REL1
Swiss rounds with cut to top 4, or top 8 based on attendance.

Entry Fee: $10

Prize Structure:

1st = 4 x Pithing Needle
      -or- Box of Coldsnap
     - or- $90 store credit

2nd = 4 x Meddling Mage
     -or- $50 store credit

3rd = $10 store credit

4th = $10 store credit

5th-8th = packs

Top 4 prizes are guaranteed. For every additional 2 players above 14, $5 store credit will be added to each of the Top 4 prizes. [/b]

I guess this would be a good chance to prepare for the Lotus tourney in Flint.  It'll give you a chance to make and test any last changes.   Cut to top 8 happens at just 16 players.  See you all there.

And now a word from the sponsor.  If you need anything for your deck at the last minute, Pandemonium has a good selection of singles... all the way from commons to Power, and most everything in between. Drinks and snacks are available on site and there are plenty of restaurants very nearby.

Hey cancer...HELLZ YEAH! Its good to have a responsible guy like you back. We can't organize a tourney for crap. But this is just amazing. Thanks for the awesome warm-up to flint. I can't wait to be there. C.H.U.M is going to hopefully be pretty strong this month. PBee, Mastershake, "Damn Affinity Kid", Tails, and I should be there. I must say, thanks again and we will see you soon! Wink

I'll be there, and might bring a friend or two. The question is, do I play combo or prison...

Unfortunately it was this day off from work or the Lotus tourney.  If you have to ask I pity you. Razz  Im looking forward to more sweet prizes in the future though.

Why couldn't this be two weeks later? I can't go because I won't have the cards I need by then. Had this been after the 15th, I would have gone for sure.

This looks insane, and I wish I was up there and could play.  I'm glad to see so many huge tournaments.

By the way, if you give me top 8 decklists, I'll see to them getting in the SCG database.

That would be awesome. We do this every month pretty much and so far the lowest prize for first place was a set of taigas so they are pretty high stakes. Getting the results on SCG would be amazing. There are a few pretty talented teams of legacy players up here like "Team Predict" and "Team C.H.U.M" and such who would love to get their name out there with SCG. Thanks a ton for expressing interest and keep your eyes open for tournament reports and results soon after the 2nd! Razz Wink

Yeh, I won't be making it.

I move up to school on August 31st and will have shit to do that weekend.  Hopefully I can make it to the Lotus thing the week after, though.

Count one more from C.H.U.M. in there.

And watch out for Raigeki.

Team Blitzkrieg won't be there in full capacity, but that's okay. After all, the Blitzkrieg was built on aggressive moves and innovative technology to overcome a disparity the size of armies. Eternal Magic's Blitzkrieg is no different.

I'm predicting either Trinispheres or Tendrils will win this event. Haven't decided what I'm playing yet Wink

I disagree because Team Predict wasn't planning on running either.

My guess is aggro will rule this day.

Go Blue!

But there is now a slim chance I might be in town.  I'm still guessing I won't make it, but we'll see.

It's possible but I worry about the turnout.  Sunday has shown itself to be a down day in the past.

12 hours before Play begins: I have narrowed it down to roughly 3 decks. I am sure nothing will be as bad as my preformance with Angel Stompy last time.

I'm guessing that means you'll be borrowing emidln's Tendrils deck.  Anyway, I'll see you all shortly.

Actually, he played Red Deck Wins.  Paul and I were paired in the last round of swiss, where we promptly ID'ed.  Amusingly, we were paired up again in the top 8 as the 3rd and 6th seat respectively.

Top 8 was

1st      Gamekeeper Salvager combo (MasterShake)
2nd     U/G Madness (Ari Lax)    Note:  Ari actually dropped in the Finals and they prize split $80 each.
3rd      Affinity   (Phil Cape)
4th      UGBw  4c Thresh  (cancerstix)
5th- 8th
            RDW     (Liek)
            UGW Threshold  (Kilz88)
            Landstill  (Austin Durling)--I know you read here Austin, are you regged?
            Natures Revolt/Humility/no one saw it coming  (Kevin Bielby)

Sorry folks, I had the chance to come home to see the family for Labor day/my birthday and took it. I'll be back for regularly scheduled pwnage in a week. I'm somewhere between my Tendrils deck, UGrb Thresh, and my own brew of Stax. That meta sounds like it was begging for some 3spheres.

I played Mastershake in the quarterfinals. I was playing UGW Thresh. So I was somewhere between 5th and 8th. Thanks again Dan and my report will be up later this week. I left all my notes at Chris's house. (MasterShake). Good luck in flint everyone!
