Well, hopefully these results will serve to indicate that Madness is still a very competitive deck, and can be taken in several different directions to good results. In my opinion, it is competing with TNT as the best aggro deck in Vintage, and has one signifcant advantage in that it dodges all the artifact/enchantment hate that hurts TNT.
I am looking forward to seeing Ribbeck's Survival Madness build as well. I got in touch with Serge Metz after the rest of the T8 was posted and was informed that, among other things, it was running a Gaea's Cradle

and sided Uktabis and FTK.
I do not understand the merits of the straight R/G build piloted by Serge Metz other than that its less susceptible to Wasteland and Blood Moon, though. I think blue is key in the non-Survival builds because of Careful Study and Deep Analysis. Without them, the deck is a lot less consistent and explosive. But given the matchups he told me he played against, I can see how he did as well as he did.
