The new set most assuredly contains a card virtually identical to this. They dropped the colorless, gave it Flanking instead of first strike, and made it part of the Rebel chain, but even the name is identical.
Sorry if this has been discussed already, and I know that we have the standard disclaimer on this page about how WotC can borrow from this list as much as they desire, but I didn't see any talk about this and tought that whoever designed this card deserves some manner of cookie.
