Gravewipe
{2} {B}
Instant
Remove a card in target player's graveyard from the game for each Swamp you control. Gain life equal to the number of cards removed this way.

Graveyard removal with a small tempo recovery attached. Could be useful in any flashback or graveyard-heavy set.

I like this card, even though it seems like a last pick in limited with minimal utility in constructed.  But it's a good example of the kinds of cards that are necessary sometimes even if they aren't really "good".

Also, is the wording on this correct?  It seems a little strange.

No the wording is fine.  I like it, although I wonder if the life gain is really appropriate.  Life gain in black tends only to be accompanied by damage, a la Drain Life.

The flavor is that you're draining the graveyard instead of life. It's similar to Psychic Drain which drained the library. I figure black can have life gain as long as it's draining something. It does need a better name  to convey the flavor.

Totally forgot Psychic Drain.

What about Corpse Drain?  Grave Funneling?  Something that plays up that flavor?
