This is another card in the reward creature, punish spell theme. It gives creature decks another tool to help them battle combo decks and other unpleasant strategies that lead to MWS disconnects.

Transcend the Souless
W
Instant
~this~ can be cast only if you control a creature.
If a noncreature spell or ability controlled by an opponent causes you to discard ~this~, return it to your hand if you control a creature.
~this~ cannot be countered by  noncreature spells or abilities.
Until end of turn, you cannot be the target of noncreature spells or abilities.
Prevent all damage noncreature sources would deal this turn.

Interseting, but you're doing a bit much.  5 seperate abilities, especially on a 1 mana instant?

#1) White doesn't restrict spells that way.  Rather, how about "As an additional cost to play this, tap an untapped white creature you control"?

#2) If we're gonna keep the anti-Duress clause, you probably need to get rid of the anti-counter bit.  The anti-discard is much more interesting anyway, but I feel it should up the cost.

#3) Do we want to keep the targeting restriction and the prevention clause?

I feel like this should probably cost at least 1W.  It's interesting, but it does feel a little too forced in its design.  It's a very obvious and inelegant hoser.

How about changing it to give the creature 'flagbearing'?

When you play ~this~, choose a creature you control. If you do, until end of turn, if you would be the target of noncreature spells or abilities, instead change the target to target creature. If this would be an illegal target, instead counter the spell or ability.

The wording probably needs work, and it would be rather interesting if a creature died from loss of life from a Tendrils, but I think the effect is undoubtedly White (I know Simulacrum was a bit like this too)
