Well, it's that time again for another tournament at the Sports Zone in Cary, NC. These events have always been very fun in the past, and I'd like to keep the tradition going with lots of people and great prizes. We are hoping to have the tournament sometime in January on a Saturday. Some people are going to the TMD Open so the possible dates are January 6th, 20th or 27th. We'd love to have some people from SC, GA and VA come so please speak up if you are interested in coming!

p.s. February 4th is Super Bowl Sunday so that weekend is out of the question, but if people can't do January, Feb. 10th, 17th and 24th are the Satudays in that month. I'd like to have the tournament sooner is possbile since we haven't done one in a while. If anyone knows Jesse Pinchot's e-mail or TMD name could you please let me know.

The TO is the one that should be starting these threads. T1 isn't going to pick up again unless he takes the initiative.

Chris... you know we've already talked about this in person. Please PM/IM/Call me in the future as this has nothing to do with what I asked. I have talked to the TO and this is how we have always done things and this is how we are going to continue to do things because the TO does not have a good connection to the Type 1 community. If you want to have good local tournaments maybe you need to have a more positive attitude.

I've been informed that the prerelease for the next set is the weekend of January 20th & 21st. As Cullen put it "The weekend of the 27th sounds good. It'll allow those who went to the prerelease to show off and trade some of their new cards." How does this sound for everyone? It allows for 2 weeks after the TMD Open and does not interfere with anything I can tell.

You can't guarantee anything regarding the next tournament. It's not about attitude, its a logistical issue. If the TO doesn't organize the tournaments, then there is no security for the prizes and turnout is going to be low.

I don't get it, he's just trying to find a date that's most popular within a certain meta.  He's not offering prizes here and turnout for this thread an issue how?

@Chris

Are you kidding me? I really would like your support with these tourneys. Once again read what I am asking in this thread or just PM/IM/Call me. For the last time, I've already talked to the TO and he has no interest in getting on TMD. These events will work out just fine being organized by the players in cooridination with the store and they have worked in the past. We will have prize support based on attendence level. For example, we are thinking of doing something like a Library of Alexandria with a minimum of 10 people and a piece of power with a minimum of 20 people. Addtional prizes based on attendance. This will all be taken care of by myself, anyone else with suggestions and the store owner after we get a date. Please just let me know when is a good weekend for you if you'd like to attend and any additional concerns can be taken care of in person with me or you can just call the store owner yourself if you really have that big of a problem. The number at Sports Zone is 919-468-0001. I have complete confidence we will have successful tourneys as we have had in the past.
