TempleCon 2007 is hosting a Vintage tournament during the weekend of February 16th-18th 2007, in Providence Rhode Island, at the beautiful Westin Hotel in downtown Providence.

The Grand Prize for this event is a Mox Ruby, with a convention trophy awarded as well.  Additional prizes (to be announced) will be awarded to finalists.  Admission to the event is open to anyone attending the convention, at no additional cost after con membership.

Registration for this event starts at 9 am on Sunday, the 18th.  Five proxies will be allowed, in a standard Swiss format.

TempleCon features a variety of additional gaming events throughout the weekend, including Vintage and Standard Magic events, and constant Magic drafts, as well as other games.  TempleCon also features a full Dealers' Room and Art Show, with guest Magic artists Lars Grant-West, Rebecca Guay, and Cyril Van Der Haegen.

Pre-register for the convention now at a discounted rate, at our official website:  http://www.templecon.org/

We look forward to seeing you there!

Convention Registration Prices are as follows:

Pre-reg (By January 17th):  $12 per day, $30 entire weekend
At the door: $15 per day, $40 entire weekend
Group Reg (pre-register with a group of 5 or more): $25 entire weekend.

Check out our pre-reg page at http://www.templecon.org/prereg.htm

P.S.  If perchance the link to our site doesn't play nicely with your browser, or you wind up Googling us later, please be sure to go to templecon.org instead of templecon.com, as a rival convention is cyber-squatting on our old domain, and we are definitely not the same animal...  Razz

Cool.  Yeah, we have a bunch of other sanctioned and unsanctioned Magic stuff going on too, including a sanctioned Standard 2HG event on Saturday, a ton of drafts, and some old-school Chaos Melee group events (one of them standard, one vintage) that should be a lot of fun.

We also managed to have the majority of the convention space literally steps away from the Westin's bar/lounge.       Should be one hell of a weekend....

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to post a notice here to let you know that we've extended the pre-registration deadline to January 31st, as we still have new last-minute events coming in. The numbers are looking good, so pre-reg now if you haven't already.

http://www.templecon.org/prereg.htm

Also, we had a couple of questions about mail-in pre-registration. We *do* have mail-in pre-registration, and the form for that can be found on the pre-registration page, or by clicking below (PDF format).

Oh, we also have a couple of dealer's tables open too if anyone would like to take advantage of that.    Very Happy

One more month!

I can't see in the post when this event starts.  I see the pre registration starts at 9, but that's all.

For the record, this event is 5 proxies right?  That will greatly affect deck choices, so changing that at the last minute would not be cool.  If I can get some answers to these questions I may be able to attend.

Is anyone going to this?  I would like to go, but I'm not skipping a family birthday party for something that might not be happening.  I haven't heard anything about a start time yet.  Does anyone have info on this?

I believe the tournament itself is beginning between 10 AM and 11 AM. I'm planning on being there by 9:30 just to be sure. I received confirmation from Evewalker via PM that this event is 5 proxies. Also, we'll be bringing decklist sheets for everyone who didn't have them pre-printed (in case they're not available on site) along with our cool Myriad Games Double Sided Match Record Sheets and Myriad Pens. Also, I'll be giving away Myriad Dice to all my opponents.

Looking forward to it!
