And, the best part, the PTQ that weekend is the 17th, so I should be able to go to both events. Woo.

This is great news.  I am glad we are getting such great prize support.  As an added bonus for PT hopefulls this is an excellent opportunity to increase your eternal rating to get byes to the Grand Prix this spring.

Hopefully I'll be able to make this.  I haven't played much Magic in months...I'm way out of practice.  Should be all good though, I have enough natural talent to win the GP blindfolded.

It's just a matter of whether or not I can get a ride.  I'm open to offers.

Sad

I don't even care about my rating. I have like 7 DCI numbers because I keep losing my cards. Magic is starting to feel like a job. Me no likey.

Byes at a Grand Prix are kindve a big deal.  It means you start playing against more established decks and don't lose to randomness.

If you love Legacy, you'll want to play as many rounds as possible and relish in the event. Playing in a GP is a neat opportunity, and you should savor every moment. I wouldn't take a Bye if you paid me.

I like this game as much as the next guy, but turning down byes at a pro tour level event is something that I could never do.  I like winning a little too much.

Negative. You're not going to win the title anyways, so what's the point? Worlds was like 9 rounds, and I was pissed that it wasn't 18. Sitting down and shuffling and looking around and seeing everyone getting ready to play a round is like opening a present on Christmas morning. I think I'm going to start entering tournaments and scooping every round so my rating is as bad as possible. That's how much I don't want a bye.

Anyways, I might stop by for this. Expect me to play the Boros pre-con.

You know what Caboose?  I can kind of understand where you are coming from with this.  I was playing in MtG tournaments when they were all single elimination and  I friggin hated getting knocked out in the second round.  Swiss rounds make me happy cause even if I scrub out bad I can still keep playing the game.

Well I got some scans of the actual card Pandemonium is giving away.  It has definitely seen unsleeved play but whatever, it's still a nice playable Ruby.

As for Grand Prix Trials for the Legacy GP coming up later in the year ... yes, we will be hosting said events ... I just can not release the tournament dates until Wizards says it's ok to do so.

That Ruby is butt-ugly, but I need to make a trip up north anyways. I will strongly consider stopping in Garden City on my way to Windsor.

I hope the rest of the crew can make it. As it stands, this date is right before my birthday and I'll be commuting all weekend long. Also,

birthday dinner cooked by my parents > magic tournament (even if it is legacy)

but I will make the next one!

Spencer will not be making it to the tournament, which leaves me ride-less.

Anyone want to fix that problem?

I'll come get you if you can't get a ride otherwise, Rich.  Please try to find other means though, it's really out of the way.

I'm still thinking about making the Columbus trip. Nothing would make my Sunday more than losing in consecutive rounds to Demars and Nicolo. Sad

I just realized I didn't let everyone know that I'd be attending this event. Not that anyone cares too much, but I'll be at this event, playing a terrible deck, trying to win. Vote democratic.

Let's not race to see who gets warnings first, because there will be no "winners" in that contest.
