Organizing Tournaments

Hi! I just want to get the opinions of the Tournament Organizers regarding the prizes.

How do you determine the prizes? I usually see that most tournaments in the results section offer a piece of power as prizes. Do you give out the Power regardless of the turnout or there should be a cut-off? How much to you people usually charge as entrance fee?

I have also read that in a tournament in Spain, they gave away what 16 pieces of Black Lotus to the Top 16? How much did they charge for entrance fee? I want to know how do you determine the prizes because I am planning to hold our own Mox Tourney in the Philippines. Thanks in advance

Competent TOs will determine prizes using a Budget, where prizes are whatever's left after all expected expenditure is taken out of the expected entry fees. For more information, here's a post I made on the subject a couple of years ago.
