Okay.  So a bunch of you people here are techy guys. I  need some help.  My iTunes decided to magically delete itself of all 3000 songs I have.  My iPod still has them on, but since I redid my whole laptop, it's saying that it's registered to a different iTunes.

Basically... how can I get my library from my iPod onto my iTunes, instead of having to find (and probobly buy about 500 dollars worth of) CD's?

People made some 3rd party free programs that work for transcribing your IPOD library from the IPOD onto the computer.

Run a search on IPOD to PC or IPOD Libraries for hits. The program I use is called "iPod2PC" and generally works OK other than some clicking to get by donation requests.

I haven't tried this yet, but I heard if you open the iPod from My Computer, and set it to shown hidden files/folders, you can copy the music. The files all have random names, but if you set the view to 'Details' it should tell you the songs/artists.
