Who thinks this auction is for real? The seller's feedback is all from "no longer registered user"s and from buying/selling items that sold for 1 cent. http://cgi.ebay.com/MOX-SAPPHIRE-must-have-great-condition-L-K_W0QQitemZ330083404908QQihZ014QQcategoryZ49194QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemI sent him this: Dear, Illsellityoubuy: Im interested in your beta Mox Sapphire, but how come you had FOUR mox jet auctions end yesterday with no bidders? I suspect this might be a scam. Wait, I definitely think there is something amiss here. No, now I am certain you are a douchebag thief. Never mind!

if you look at other items he's sold, they are all BS items. Electronic picutres of Paris Hilton, Programs and books that are scams themselves.... this guy can't be taken seriously.

Even better on the bazaar is that it is in "awesome condition good condition" and that the shipping and handling with insurance is an astounding $15. Maybe he's sending in one of those new platinum envelopes.

The best thing you can do when you find a fake seller/auction is report it to eBay. If multiple people report the same seller/auction, they'll actually do something about it.

His mox pearl and black lotus also have the same back, they have a mark on the lower right hand quadrant of the blue oval. Plus, one of his cards has a different month for the front and back picture, not exactly a professional job

Hi, I haven't posted very much on this site but I have been here long enough to figure out that since this format seems to have a strong tie to ebay in some respects, and that there have been several complaints about cardboard fraud and magic bilking on ebay. Why don't we have a thread for bad ebay users, so people will know names to watch for, and/or a thread dedicated how to identify fake cards from real one and bad sellers from good ones? I think that any person playing magic that ventures into a financial fiasco while buying a Vintage card and losing several hundred dollars will be sick of the format and stop playing. That is an extreme situation that could happen but I think it could very well happen unfortunately with more and more fake cards being pumped out in to the open market.....
So! Why not an advising thread of what to do and not do in buying cards?

There is a thread on how to spot fakes. It's stickied at the top.
