HanniFish took the top two spots. That prize structure was shitty though. Shame on you, England!

can someone do me a favor and pm me / post the top 8 of that tourney...I can't view most gaming websites at work due to a long list of restrictions they have placed on our internet access.

Thanks,
Nick

I would have posted it but the formatting is awful and I'm not about to spend half an hour fixing it...so, check your inbox.

luke_twigger did you lose to UWB Fish?  That's how I'm reading it.  I'm wondering how?  Your creatures are better and I think your disruption is better and Dystopia out of the board is amazing.  What happened?  Congrats on your Top8 and I hope you liked the deck.  What made you choose it?

Thanks for the info.

I lost in the top8 to Julian's deck labelled "EBA" but yes it's a UWB Fish variant. I beat him in the Swiss 2-0. In the top8 Game1 he Vialed out a couple of Avengers, had counters when I tried to bolt them and a couple of StPs for my guys. Game2 I mulliganed to 4 and was never really in it. Fun fact - I never drew a single Dystopia all day.

I chose the deck cos I always had a thing for Suicide Black. I was lazy and netdecked from the various forum threads here. But I didn't like the Rotting Giant plan, I think my Black Knights were reasonably effective in that slot instead.

Looks like Fish is being a real contender all over the world. Sweet.

I wouldn't read into it that much.  Attendence was 19.

I would. The players in Europe prefer UWB fish over most decks. It will probably continue winning.

That angry avatars deck seems very intriguing to me. Seems like it could be a very unexpected deck in many meta's around here.

It just looks like a mixture between BW and Br with less disruption and faster beats.  In reality it's just a more aggro less control version of the decks and seems like slow Zoo...  With all the Black/x control around though I could see why it did alright.
