Hey Guys,

I thought this would be a fun little card to shake things up a bit.  I first wanted to call it Detrivore for decomposing but it was already taken...

Carnivore of the Grave
 {B} {B}
Creature -- Zombie Insect
*/*
Flash
When ~this~ comes into play, destroy target creature that has already been dealt damage this turn.
~this~ power and toughness is equal to the destroyed creatures power and toughness divided in half to rounded up.

Just to get this right, if your opponent had a 3/3 on the table you'd need to damage but not kill it then you play this for BB, killing the creature and getting a 2/2. Is that right?

I think you meant your text to read  "power and toughness divided in half and rounded up."

It would be more Johnny-ish if the card cost 1BB and had P/T equal to the dead creature's P/T. This has serious memory issues in its current form, and my suggestion would help with those.

So what is it's power and toughness while the triggered ability is on the stack?

How about choosing a non-legend creature? Otherwise he is a UG instant Wrath of Frog.

This should be changed from "When ~this~ comes into play" to "As ~this~ comes into play".

No one likes doing arithmetic. Just make it gain that creature's p/t and cost it appropriately (2BB or something).

You could make this card a little bit better and tap into a good vein of flavour by making this more similar to a card that does approximately the same thing.

Duplicant Scavenger
2BB
Creature -- Zombie Shapeshifter
2/1

Imprint - When Duplicant Scavenger comes into play, you may remove target nontoken creature that was dealt damage this turn from the game. (The removed card is imprinted on this permanent.)
As long as a creature card is imprinted on Duplicant Scavenger, Duplicant Scavenger has the power and toughness of the last creature card imprinted on it.
