This is my first attempt at card creation, but I had a really neat idea. First of all, a few points.

1. This cycle of cards are not for a tournament. This is a set of fun cards that I think alot of players would enjoy playing with.

2. It would belong in a Mirridon block-esqu set.

3. I feel this is what Darksteel Colossus should have been.

4. Please excuse the obvious reference to the old cartoon. If you have a better idea for creature type, I am all about that.

White Lion

Artifact Creature-- Cat
Vigilance

Blue Lion

...
I don't get where the Voltron bit comes from.  Like not only is the flavor not really there, but I don't think it fits what you said you were going for.  I'm skeptical of this idea; it seems pretty uninspired.

Like I said, it would be in a Mirridon type world where there are alot of artifacts. The idea is you have a bunch of small creature that form into a large creature. I really don't want it to be "Volron" even though that is what inpired it.

Think the Kaldra cycle, each piece is useful on it's own, but get the whole set out, it gets fun. Thanks for the input though.

Wording question: Should the token creation text not read:
"Sacrifice Black Lion, White Lion, Blue Lion, Red Lion and Green Lion: Put an indestructible legendary 10/10 colorless Avatar creature token with vigilance, flying, haste & trample into play."

I thought that Indestructable was one of the keywords that was still used as an adjective on token creation text like this. [Ref. Dark Depths]

Why is the token colourless? All the Artifact creatures are colourless but have a colour name. It may be interesting to have them create a 5 colour avatar though it's difficult to put that into the text. Probably better to choose a different moniker than the obvious colour ones. They sit badly on colourless permanents. How about Sapphire, Jade, Pearl etc etc?

It's hard to pull off the combo to get the Avatar. You have to have all the lions in play to get it and that's really tough at 4cc per Lion. Lots of hoops to jump through for your creature to get Edicted!

Personally I'd be more interested in a similiar cycle of 1/1's for 3 each with the text allowing you to create a token of the sum of the sacced parts, with an RFG in for saccing to get around recursion. Something like this:

White Lion Part
3
Artifact Creature-- Cat
Vigilance
RFG any number of Lion Parts: Put a Cat avatar token into play with P/T equal to the sum of the total printed P/T of the RFGed parts. This token has the featured keywords of the RFGed parts.
1/1

Dodges point or low toughness damaged based removal (if you have enough guys) and the cost to P/T means they are playable but not overly strong. You can mix and match your Lions or play all of them.

The thing with this is that every cycle of this sort is narrow and inflexible (Dark Supplicant's set, or Spirit of the Night), and we have "Build your own monster" capabilities in enchantments and auras already.  I think something that flips into a giant monster has more potential though.
