Sage of epityr? What's that all about?

It's a French deck originaly called Zbs ( Ze BrainStorm ) created by kLu, our best Type 1 Deck builder ( With Toadimon of course ). There were no Cunning wish and one more Brainfreeze, but why not.
I know that the list seams weird, every draw spell as a One-Of, only 3 Drains ... but soooo many tricks to rise storm/mana, to draw like hell and to win. You really need to practice a lot and a lot to be able to kill fast with it.

I know the Almost Blue looks weird, but it is an impressive deck. It is like a Gifts deck that beat Gifts. It is very solid and a very fun deck that can win from nowhere. The kLu version has more differences than BoObaz says like Frantic Search and FoF that a friend of mine tweaked and says me play with.

Sage of epityr? What's that all about?

It's a one mana wizard beater that sacrifices to Voidmage.
His come into play ability also improves his synergy with Ninja, too,
so he's good even without Voidmage.

I don't believe Time Spiral would be a good card for Almost Blue. Usually you haven't more than 3 or 4 lands when you go to comboing. Vs Drain decks is very risky to play mainphase a 6cc sorcery spell aside of Mind's Desire, if the Spiral is countered you go to lose next turn, and nothing asures you that you go to win if resolves. Vs Stax and Fish decks it is a cery expensive card that rarely you could cast.
Timetwister is a different case, it is the "reset button" of the game and you only need one of this. Also timetwister can be used in the first turn ala old school: land, mox, mox, timetwister (+3 card advantage easy XD).

The blue deck is a really cool idea. I'd like to see some kind of primer on it along with some kind of tournament report.

i think that, even is sage of epityr is great, stormscape apprentice is far better as a 1cmc wizard.

Stoemscape appretice is worst than Sage of Epityr today. Now, gift deck don't run colossus, and oath play tiranus over angels, the only 2 deck against apprentice is a good card. Sage is a "impulse" to find the ninja for turn 2.
