Does anyone know anything about the Magic scene in the Philippines, especially Vintage?  I'll be living there for awhile and would like to know what formats are played, in what areas, and how large the events are.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Last I heard neither Oscar Tan nor his friend Glenchuy play Vintage on a regular basis anymore.

Hi I'm from the Philippines .Please check this http://www.7th.realm.com.ph/forum. Just ask the users there. Vintage and legacy tourneys are held monthly.

Hi there herbig,

We usually have local Vintage in Manila every once a month. Prize structure is not that comparable to the ones that you have in the US. We usually just play for packs and honor (lol). Entrance is P200 though (about $4-$5 US). Our meta though is pretty weird since we play sanctioned tournaments (we have a hard time organizing proxy tournies because of the prize structure). Prepare to face lots of Oath. lol We are pushing for some Legacy events and hope to have it come around more. Standard is pretty much the most popular format here.

I did see your post in 7th realm. It will take some time for the admins to validate your registration (they're extremely busy these days or may be out of town. Its summer here in the Philippines).

Just visit the site regularly because the tournament schedule is listed there. Anyway, hope to see you around and hope to play with you soon.

Peace!
