I am pleased to announce the date for my Sixth Mox Tournament.  At my last event, 31 of New England's best showed up to fight for their share of loot and bragging rights.  The Top 8 included 7 distinct decks, with 2 new decks thanks to Future Sight.  Flash and Ichorid looked unstoppable after finishing the swiss undefeated, but neither made it to the finals.  In the end, 2 established decks, Gifts and Bomberman were left standing.  Is it just a matter of time before the Flash and Ichorid lists are optimized?  Will the hate keep these decks from becoming dominate?  The world will find out when New England's strongest players fight it out at ELD's Mox Tournament VI.

First place prize will be a Mox Jet.

Here's the details:
ELD's Mox Tournament VI
Saturday, June 30th, 2007
$25 Entry Fee

with
Scholar's
34 Central Sq
Bridgewater, MA
Phone: (508) 279-1712

The event will be at Cole Hall.  It is the next building over from the church on the rotary.

Prizes to be updated soon
1st - UL Mox Jet
2nd - Foil Flooded Strand
3rd - Alpha Demonic Tutor
4th - Foil Tormod's Crypt
5th-8th Choice of TWO cards from a pool of Type 1 goodness.  These cards include Foil Rack and Ruin, Foil Rebuild, Foil Pyroclasm, Foil Unmask, Beta Channel, one of my previous proxies and much more.

I am going to give away the Mox Jet regardless of attendance.
Other places will be adjusted down if there are less than 32 players.  Prizes will be adjusted up if we have more than 32.  100% of the entry fees will be put towards the prizes.  That's what to expect out of all of my tournaments.  There is a very strong chance that we will get over 32 players.  I would not be surprised if we get over 40.

A Limited Edition hand-made Mox Jet Proxy will be given to every participant.  These proxies will not count towards your proxy count for all my future events, or at any of Myriad Games monthly Vintage events.  I will only be making 50 of these.  These are the proxies I have made so far.

Pre-registration puts you in a drawing for Season 1 of Family Guy on DVD.  You can do this by sending me a PM or an e-mail at EricELD@comcast.net  You do not pay until the day of the event, this is just to help with estimating the attendance.  This is my way of saying thank you to everyone who pre-registers.  It does make running the events much easier.

Cost
$25 for up to 15 proxies.  Additional proxies at $1 each. The Proxy Power from my previous events does not count towards your proxy count.

Registration will begin at 11:00.  The tournament will begin promptly at 12 pm.
Swiss rounds based on attendance.  Cut to top 8.

Proxy rules
15 Proxies allowed.  My previous handmade proxies do not count towards your proxy limit.

I will be buying cards.

      Commons/Uncommons/Lands mixed (at least 10% uncommon) @ $5 per 1000
      Bulk rares @ $0.10 each
      Bulk Foils @ $0.05 each
Bulk Foil Rares @ $0.25 each
I'll be buying any and all cards – turn your unwanted cards into cash!

You can pre-register me for this.  Hopefully I'll be bringing some others along with me, got to check what everyone has planned for that day.  Should be a good time as always.

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

I am pleased to announce some major improvements.  Since I started running events, I have been working with Myriad Games to raise the quality of the New England Vintage scene.  Our latest collaboration is the biggest yet.  The proxy structure has been standardized.  My events and Myriad events will both have the same policy.  We will both have $25 entry fee that includes 15 proxy+ ELD proxies.  That's right -  the ELD proxies will not count towards the proxy count at Myriad Games Vintage events either.    This means the Mox Jet you receive at my event can be used the very next day at Myriad.

The $25 entry fee will allow for bigger prizes.  Since I put all entry fee's towards prizes, this will allow me to spread the prize support across the Top 8 more effectively.  I want 5th-8th place to feel like the accomplishment it really is.  My events have had some of the toughest fields ever assembled, and now the prize support will be better able to reflect that.  Thanks to everyone for the support, and I'll see you on the 30th.

There is no wireless internet at Cole Hall, but I believe the coffee shop on the same rotary has wireless internet.
