With Rambo 4 on the horizon an old debate has popped up between my friends and I. Who would win in a fight, John Matrix or John Rambo ? Personally, I believe John matrix would win because John Matrix eats Green Berets for breakfast. Thoughts, discussion, feel free to post and defend your vote. |

I looked at the Wikipedia entries on both candidates.
John Rambo's includes a list of numerous military decorations and service medals.
John Matrix's includes a list of weapons (with axe, saw, pitchfork and "furnace door" listed among them).
Just seemed like weapons would win.

John Matrix would crush John Rambo. A few key moments to demonstrate:
1 - Holding Sully over a cliff with one arm. (Matrix, left arm > gravity)
2 - Ripping a phone booth off the ground. (Matrix > wired fixed objects)
3 - Surviving a high-speed collision with a fixed object. (Matrix > Post > Alpha Romeo)
4 - Eating green berets for breakfast. (Matrix > Green Berets)
5 - Carrying a gigantic log with one arm. (Matrix > Tree Trunk)
6 - What was left after his assault on Mr. Velasques' island fortress, "Just bodies" (Matrix > ~100 soldiers)
7 - Drives a pipe through Bennett, "Let off some steam, Bennett". (Matrix > human density)
8 - Jumps out of a plane traveling at a speed greater than 100 mph and at an altitude greater than 40 feet. (Matrix > Airplanes)
9 - "They were down wind!" (Matrix > regular human senses)
10 - And finally, Matrix: "What's in this?", Jenny: "You don't want to know." (MATRIX > SLICED BREAD)

Urh this is no contest, but if it was a vote for which movie was best...i'd say Rambo: First blood (The first movie)....this is 'cause:
Rambo 2 sucked
Rambo 3 sucked
Commando Really, Really, Sucked. Badly.
Rambo 1 was kinda decent.

John McClane would win.
Matrix and Rambo are very versatile combatants in both urban and jungle/forested combat. John McClane is only good at battling in urban settings. If Rambo or Matrix cought him in a jungle or wooded area he would be toast. I'm not saying Mr. McClane is weak it is just that Matrix and Rambo have more training so, there for, they are more dangerous. |
