Thanks for a great tournament. It gets tough at the end of the day. You do stupid stuff like siding out Tendrils of Agony, then trying to combo out with storm on turn 2!!!!! Congrats to all others who made top 8 and hope you enjoyed the taffy.

T8 is always a mental challenge, completely different from the rest of the tournament. I'll have a report up at some point in the near future. |

I stopped in for a little on Saturday to watch the fellow Vintage players duke it out. It's nice to see Harrisburg get a Vintage event and have a good prize up for grabs. For the Guild, this was a good turn out.

Dshell you should have played in the event. I'm glad I played, even though I got stumped 3 times, playing agaisnt GAT. The Adventures Guild is a very nice to play. They pretty much let you do whatever you want. You can bring food and drinks in there. How many stores let you do that. I hope we have more Vintage events there. |

This was my first Vintage tournament in about 5 years. In addition to being a really well run tournament, it was nice to be able to play with such a good group of people. I've been playing in PTQs and GPs for a while now, and I was just sick of all the elitiest attitudes. It was just refreshing to play with such a friendly group.
Congratulations, Beav on the win, and thanks to Beaver and Kleist for getting me back into Type 1.

shawn i would absolutely come back for another event, having it less than an hour away is always a plus. my biggest gripe is unlimited proxie, but i can see the advantages of it, maybe setting the limit to 15 or 20, so you can get a wider range of people but not have to sit there and read every card your opponent plays.

My only issue with the location is how close it is to Blue Bell. There is a lot of cross over players. Personally, I would not be able to make both tournaments in the same month. Since mike who runs BB is a close friend, I would naturally support his tournaments.
However, any month like this month where it works out that I couldn't make BB, the H-burg tournament was very nice. As long as schedules don't conflict too much, I have no problem w/ Harrisburg.

Very nice top 8. Josh's list misses 3 cards, which I assume are Forbidden Orchards. Playing only one Orchard in Oath doesn't sound clever to me  |

I wanted to thank everyone for making this a cool event. Since I run the Blue Bell events and am always on the other side of the table, it was fun to finally be playing. And while my simplistic R/G deck cannot shake a fist at the complex decks the rest of you were running that require sharp minds to operate & better Magic skills that I lack, it was interesting to see it compete with some of the big boys. I learned a lot about the deck, including what changes I think I need to make to it. So watch out in the future for the Trekker!! But seriously, good luck to all of the T1 community in our area, at hope to see you all again soon (8/25).
