Thought it might be fun to tempt people with this.  You can get up to 3 cards for only 2 mana, but you'll put yourself in a precarious position if your opponent is prepared...

That's pretty terribly overpowered.  The thing is, the drawback is irrelevant even against SliverFlash, since they'll be giving you ten counters or more in a single turn.  You should still pay mana for the draw effect, defrayed only slightly by the poison counters.  I'd start with "2, T: Draw a card.  If you do, you get two poison counters."

If you did that then your opponent only has to spend ten mana over any number of turns to kill you, provided you don't use it.  Seems kind of crappy.
You can activate this a bunch of times then sacrifice it to avoid getting the counters.  Seems kind of imba.

Just change the ability to:
2: Draw a card and you gain two poison counters.  Any player may play this ability.

It's still really good.
