Anyone going from anywhere near Western Mass (Pittsfield area)? I would love to go but hate driving the 3 hours or whatever it is to such a shitty state.
Rhode Island is a wonderful state.
Disposeable Heroes is a great store.
One of those statements is true :p
Although Western Mass is far, it's roughly 2 hours and DH is a gigantic store worth traveling to... and you'd get to see me!

I'm currently getting everything ready and am in the final stages of preparparation. I'm doing everything in my power to make sure this tourney is just as good, if not better than my first one.
Just some reminders for all who would attend-
1) IT'S THIS SUNDAY! :p
For some reason, many people I've talked to recently thought this was later in the month... it's not. I had this date picked out a while ago
and my tourney is definitely this Sunday. In an earlier post I said it was 3 weeks away when it was at the time only 2 weeks away. That may have added to the confusion but in any event it is now only 5 days away. This SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! <o_0>
2) This tourney is still 15 proxies- Same rules apply.
If it's not the actual card, it's considered a proxy. I'm pretty reasonable on proxies as long as you clearly mark what your proxy is. Don't scribble or write over past proxies. Try to use lands or a card that mirrors the casting cost of what you're proxying. Either is fine by me. Again, ELD and other great proxies still count as proxies with me. If it isn't the actual real card, it counts toward your proxy count. Also same as last time, if someone has a serious issue getting to 15 proxies PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I will go out of my way to help you get whatever you need if I know ahead of time.
3) Highest placing fish deck gets a foil dci wrath on me

Call me biased. I root for fish. If you have at least 14 creatures and include blue, that's fish in my book.
4) If you came last time and are debating on coming this time... you should come again :p I'm going to be keeping a tally of those who have come to both of my events. I appreciate the support people have given me and it is something that I plan on rewarding down the road...most likely at my end of year extravaganza

5) If you didn't come last time...you should come this time :p
There has been minimal concern over the fact that anyone is allowed in my tourney even if they may not be allowed somewhere else. I didn't even want to address that but I'll briefly state the following to those who may have that concern:
I go 100% out of my way to make sure everyone has a good time and I don't begrudge anyone from attending my tourneys. With that said, I tolerate no shenanigans and my judging staff is top notch because I personally hire them from various locales. Anyone who was at the last tourney can attest to that and I have the same fantastic staff plus a few great additions this time around. I don't just advocate fair play, my primary goal is making sure everyone has a great time...
which I believe everyone did last time and you can rest assured I'll make sure that happens again. =)
6) Deck Reg ends at 12:00. Pairings go up by 12:15. This is something that I have to enforce strictly to make sure the tourney runs smoothly. Last time there were no issues but I'm just reminding everyone to get their lists in by noon. Doors open at 11:00 (maybe even earlier...im there at 10:30 :p). I'd strongly recommend printing out a decklist ahead of time and filling it out. Here's the official WOTC link (although you can go to other places) for a deck reg sheet:
http://www.wizards.com/DCI/downloads/DecklistConstructed.pdf7) I encourage you to hang around even when you're done with the event... until we close ;p Pretty much everyone hung around by their own free will last time and it was awesome. This time I'll have some things lined up. While other things are in the works and depend on attendance, I am guaranteeing the side tourney for 2 volcanics. It will be free to the first 8 people who drop. That is a pretty good deal :p
8) Cards! Bring them! I'll have money! If you bring cards... you'll have some too!
9) Regardless of how you finish... you should do a tourney report! I have a pretty cool prize in mind that I plan to give to best tourney report (as judged by me :p).
10) That's all I got. See you Sunday.
