There is a guy from Georgia, George (aka bdg4life, you may or may not know him) who comes up for all these events, so the drive isn't THAT bad.  We'd love to have you up here, Steve.  If you came, without a doubt, it would be the most impressive field we have had here to date.

Oh, and you're still the original Steve to me, if it makes you feel any better. Wink

Edit: Even better, if you show up, you won't have to pay your entry fee because Cody and I will each cover half of it.  Honestly.  I owe you that much for starting TMD and getting me interested in Vintage all those years ago.

I associate the name Steve exclusively to Stephen Menendian.

Ouch.

There used to be a time where he was under MY shadow. Now I'm just 'the other Steve'.

And I haven't made up my mind either way. My original plans were to SCG Indy, but this is like half the distance away.

No offense, I associate all Steves with Stephan. I exclusively know you as the letter Z.

@Steve/Becker... don't you guys live like 5 mins away from each other?

Are you serious? I thought Z lived Atlanta?

Um...so everyone else is buying you stuff.....I feel obligated now too. I'll buy you dinner.

Shit, my bad. "Z" lives near Brandon. I forgot if he was in Atlanta or Charleston.

@Becker... I guess we're even now... until Saturday that is

Wow, such hospitality! It's pushed my decision into the NC zone. Thanks for the offers of entry and food.

Oh, and George - LOL at buying ME a new Avatar.

BTW...

These events always make me enjoy annihilating new deck engines crowned king.

Step 1) Acquire deck via the awesomeness of Cullen Cox.
Step 2) Get to Cary, NC
Step 3) Pwn Arsenal and Win Timetwister

Which equates to...

1) Use Arsenal to get to cards
2) Use Arsenal to get to NC
3) Use Arsenal for experience so you can try to do better next time

Where's the thank you at? We just want to help you improve your game!

I met a lot of cool people and played some really tight games. Unfortunately, I was color screwed against Fish long enough to be eaten by factories, then later I was Flashed out on turn 1, with counter-backup to make for a 3 minute round. Ugh. I left abruptly since I hadn't felt all that great and I had a long-ass ride ahead of me.
