It's been a while since we had a T1 at Untouchables so I had to make the first one of 2008 a good one...

Untouchables' next T1 Proxy event is a Dual Lotus Tournament on Saturday January 26th

Entry Fee: cad$35.00 entry (pre-reg information below).

This obviously makes the tournament prize support very top heavy (assuming no split) but we only need 56 players and we've had more than that in the past so we should be able to pay out a bit further down...

Recent T1 Proxy Events:
October 20th - Lotus, Sapphire - 52 players, $1,200 in cash, Grim Tutor, Set of Foil STP
August 25th - Beta Ruby, Twister - 30 players, $750 in cash, Mana Drain
July 7th - Triple Power- 59 players, $1,200 in cash, Mana Drain, Set of Factories
May 26th - Lotus - 57 players, $1,300 in cash, Mana Drain
March 24th - Beta Ancestral - 60 players, Beta Ancestral (reportedly sold later for $850), $700 in cash, Set of MM Counterspells

We can accomodate 80 players comfortably, but we can make better preparations if we know how many people are coming out in advance. Please let us know!

Tournament Info:
Start time: 12:00 Noon
Late Penalty: $10.00 late fee if you aren't reg'd with a deck list by Noon

Secondary Tournament:
A secondary (or side) tournament will begin shortly after the end of Round Three. This is a single-elimination event with a $10.00 entry. Players in the main event enter this tournament for free. First place will be a Grim Tutor.

Entry Fee:
$35.00 entry which includes ten proxies. There is a maximum of ten total proxies in the deck and sideboard combined.

Registration:
Pre-registration by e-mail, PM, or post. Please leave your full name whether you e-mail, PM, or post.

Pre-registration ends January 12th at Midnight, EST
>Entry fee discounted to $30.00
>Pre-registered players lose their spot and discount at 11:30

Format:
Swiss rounds followed by a single-elimination playoff.
Swiss timed at 50 minutes per round
Playoff rounds will not be timed

Swiss should end by 7:00pm, playoff rounds by 10:00pm

Deck Registration:
Please bring a completed deck list or arrive early to fill one out.
Proxy cards must be clearly marked as such on the deck list.

Proxy Cards:
Proxy cards need to be on a tournament-legal Magic card. Collector's Edition and gold-bordered Championship Deck cards are not legal.

Trading and Selling:
Players are welcome to trade at the store but selling is prohibited. This is a new rule enforced as of this event, the penalty is disqualification without prize.
