I have been messing around with this deck idea now for a couple of nights and came up with this deck list. I came to this build after playing in this past weeks tourney in Chicago. I know every Meta is different but I believe this deck can deal with it. Almost like a fish deck but with answers some fish decks don’t quite have. The factories are there to shut down beat decks with loam. I don’t know if fastbond is the answer but it helps when you always have a couple blockers online. I chose ghastly demises because they work great with loam and help keep the pressure off till you find a Goyf or meloku. I was thinking about adding in slaughter pact over diabolic edict. The main reason I chose edict was because of dark steel though I believe if you use pact it would work out a lot better against shop or deez nauts.

Any and all criticism is welcomed.

I suggest that you add a bit more content to this post. Just posting a decklist without any other information doesn’t provide us with the ability to comment on the deck. Why have you chosen your cards as you did? What, for example, makes this more promising than other similar decks like DeezNauts? And what metagame do you expect to play in?

No warning if you add in some more material. Please fix this soon.

You're running Force of Will x4 and you still only have 10 blue cards in the deck? If you're splashing for the blue power cards adding 4x Forces isn't going to help much. You'd probably want to have Daze or some other control element in it's place (Thoughtseize or Cabal Therapy?).

Chalice for 2 pretty much owns you as well minus the factories and Meloku. I thought Workshop decks ran rampant in Chi town as well, so that's a real possibility of seeing. The Stax decks can drop a Crucible lock and Chalice at 2 and you're drifting in the water. Yawgmoth's Will help your deck out any? It's still the nuts with Black Lotus.

The Force of Will issue was my main reason for posting, I added some more to have some content to contribute to you. Hope it helps.

If you're playing a fish deck that taps down every turn, I strongly concur with the Daze idea.

If you're playing a fish deck that happens to win with creatures, but tries to control via Ghastly, stifle, edict then I suggest disrupt.

As Dr. Tonguey said, with such a low blue count, you're better off with dazes. Daze has poor synergy with Life, which is notoriously mana-hungry.

Meloku seems like it could work with the half of your deck that plays the control route (ghastly, stifle, edict), but seems poor if you were going with dazes, tapping down to play sorcery speeds, and burning mana through Life.

Don't get me wrong, Meloku can be insane with the proper accelerants and build, I just don't see them here.
