One Basic Forest

Hey all,

My friend is currently trying to trade up from a basic Forest from 4th Edition, to an Alpha or Beta Black Lotus.  He is basing his idea from the guy that has/has been trying to trade up from a red paperclip to getting a house (?).  Currently, he has come very far, the collection for his cause having an approximate value of $550.  Once he gets the Black Lotus, he will auction it off, and donate the proceeds to St. Jude's Children Hospital.

3. There are actually a number of cards on that list I would like to trade for. When I get back to my cards I'll root around in my trade pile and see what I can work up.

Very cool idea. Any info on how he got to the point he is at now? Like how did he go from basic Forest to even $5 in cards?

Hi, I am the creator of One Basic Forest.

I will be updating the site soon with a complete history of trades.

Some may not be on there because sometimes I do quick trades at FNM, etc.

But, starting it off, I did a trade of the forest for a overgrown tomb.  From there someone offered about $50 worth of various cards for the tomb, and after that it has been small trade after small trade.

The site is updated after every trade, and I will trade in person at any event I am at.  I am hoping to go to Minneapolis sometime soon for some larger events. (I live in northern minnesota).
