Hey everyone!

Prizes:  Depends on the turnout, but we generally give $120 to first, $60 to second, and $20 to third with an upward distribution over 15 players.  Prizes are usually greater but scale upward depending on turnout.

Entry is $15

Vintage tournament.

UNLIMITED PROXY

Where: The Soldiery

4256 N. High St.

Columbus, Ohio 43214

When: Sunday, April, 20, 2008

Registration starts at 12:30.  Tournament begins at 1pm sharp.  PLEASE try to be on time.  We want to actually start these at 1pm.
Tournament usually wraps up around 8pm.

This is great competition and there will be amazing T4 action going on if you scrub.  You can't beat the price and the unlimited proxies!

Hope you can make it!

Pphht... rules...

The Star City rules (http://www.starcitygames.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=291560) work just fine.  Nobody's checking anything too closely, though, and as long as your card is readable and is either a commonly played card (Mox, Lotus, ACall, Time Walk) or has correct text you'll be fine.  I don't know how people feel about slips of paper in the card sleeve (I don't personally like that) but I think I've seen those up there too.

My recommendation is go with the Star City rules if at all possible.

I look forward to meeting you again, Troy.  Meandeck tourneys are a lot of fun.

This will probably be our last tournament before the SCG P9 tournament.  If you want to get in some good practice or test a deck, this is the time and place to do it.

Also: it will probably be the last chance you have to play the Vintage World Champion before the SCG tournament :p

Anybody have results from this?

Though the turnout was small with a total of 9, the competition was still good. I could specifically recall seeing everyone in the room winning a piece of power at one time or another. Since there was only 9, we cut to top 4, which was:

Nat Moes - Mana Ichorid
Paul Mastriano - Doomsday
Justin Morford - Flash
Juan Rodriguez - Slaver

Paul beat Justin
Nat beat Juan

There was only $100 on the line, so they agreed to play for $100 for first place.

Nat beat Paul in the finals!

Hopefully attendance will pick up in the summer!

It was definitely a blast, especially watching Type 4 at Thurman's with the whole tournament. It is always fun at these tournaments.

I also suffered my first match loss to Steve...

Oh well, it was a good run...
