10 Proxy Vintage Timetwister Event @ Woodland Comics! 4-27-08

Woodland Comics is under new ownership (as of Feb 1st 2008), and we are trying to let the Magic community know that we are attempting to be a more card player friendly shop!

We are now holding weekly FNM and Standard (type 2) events.

Our store is also holding a vintage event on April 27th @ 1pm.  Here are the details:

What: Ten Proxy Timetwister Vintage tournament.
Where:  Woodland Comics & Cards, 505 Main Street, Woodland, CA 95695 - ph 530 662 2550
When: April 27th, 2008.  Event begins @ 1pm and we open for registration @ 12pm that Sunday.  We are also accepting pre-paid registration any time before April 27th.
Cost: $20 Registration Fee
Other Details:  Minimum 8 registered players for the Timetwister to be awarded.  Deck Registration is required, with notes to identify any proxies.  Proxies must be made on Magic: The Gathering Cards or M:tG card inserts (tokens, rules tips from newer packs).  Please call or email droms@live.com with any questions.

Awesome! It's always nice to have a new entrant into the T1 scene up in NorCal. Despite a near death experience outside of Knight's Landing some years ago, I know I'll be looking forward to this tourney.

I have a few questions regarding the venue and timetwister tournament:

1. Is the timetwister guaranteed as a prize regardless of the number of players in the event?

2. What percent of entry fees will be given back in the form of prize support?

3. What dollar value is the timetwister?

4. What is the playing area like now at the Woodland shop?

Hi Web,

The twister will be awarded to first place if 8 or more players show up.  All entry fees after the first 8 will be applied toward prizes.  I'm not a very good person for grading cards but if we were to sell the twister, we'd ask somewhere around $180.  As for our play area, that has been changed from the previous owner.  Players now sit in the front of the shop in a well-lit area on larger tables than before.  Thanks for asking!
