Yeah, so it's been awhile since I've run one of these, school exams, women, booze, blah blah blah, etc, etc. Time to get them going again.

After some talking with Kevin from Off The Wall games (very good store in Hadley), I've decided to move all of our future T1 events there due to a) space b) support from the owner c) larger card selection d) just because.

Onto the good stuff!

At our last few events we were ~30 people, expecting a similar turnout here.

Date: Sunday April 27th 2008
Start Time: 1:00PM. Going back to Deck Reg. Registration begins at 12:00 pm. Tournament starting promptly at one, game losses to those arriving late.
Entry Fee: $20.00  and TEN (10) proxies (must be marked on deck reg). Going back to this amount as 15 just seemed to be too much.
Where:
41 Russell ST
Hadley, MA 01035

After you come over the bridge, it is your first right into the Xmass Tree shops AFTER the first light you come to. On the left side of the shop area, you can't miss it.

There will be pizza, drinks, etc. to be purchased for your hunger needs. We can also order wings, calzones, etc. Tons of food options from Amherst, very quick delivery turaround.

As always, I try to give out all/as much of the entry fees as I can. With the added bonus of Kevin's card selection, prizes will look something like this:

Prize Structure Depends on number of entries (Can also choose cash/credit instead):
20 People: 1st Mox Emerald, 2nd Italian Signed Mana Drain , 3-8th Draft sets
24 People: 1st Mox Emerald, 2nd Italian Signed Mana Drain, 3rd/4th One/One dual of choice, 5-8th 1 Draft Set
28 People: 1st Mox Emerald, 2nd Italian Signed Mana Drain, 3rd/4th Two/Two dual of choice, 5-8th 2 Draft Set
32 People: 1st Mox Emerald, 2nd Italian Signed Mana Drain, 3rd/4th Three/Three dual of choice, 5-8th 3 Draft Sets

Basically, each additional 4 people adds 2 duals and a draft set (~25*2 + ~10*3 = 80). For numbers inbetween, they will be greater than the previous prize level but less than the next level up - basically I'll find a way to make it equitable/give away as much as I can.

~35+ and I'll bump up 2nd to a Library of Alexandria.

I hope everyone likes this prize support, trying to give everything back.

Hope to see you all come out!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

Although Vintage is not my thing, I just wanted to pop over here to say that Off Thge Wall Games is an EXCELLENT place to play magic!  I've attended numerous Legacy evenets there, and the place is friendly, well stocked, clean, and just generally a great store to host a Magic tournament.

24 people, top 4 split between Outlaw, Tool, Paul, and either Rob or Chris.

Oath was everywhere, with a smattering of gush combo and fish-esque decks.

Thanks to all who showed, will have an announcement up in the next week or so about next month!

Thanks to everyone that came out to the shop for the event. Thank you Caleb for running the event and providing the prize support.  I had a great time playing in my first type I event.  I will hopefully be making out to many more.
