We'll have to see if I can make it up to this one.  I know I always threaten to come to these events near Cleveland and then never go, but I might actually do it this time.

I assume "full-proxy" means "unlimited proxies"?

Twaun I contemplated going, but it's a 7 hour ride that I'm sure nobody would want to do.

Sorry.

Twaun I contemplated going, but it's a 7 hour ride that I'm sure nobody would want to do.

Sorry.

No problem. A seven hour drive is insane for a tourney without power as a prize, but to all those who live within 2 hours I expect you to be there.

Is the Vintage World Champion going to make the drive?
Is Nat Moes going to make a surprise appearence?
Is Snoop Trogg going to play Workshops?
Is the renown Jeff "The Brain" Blystone going to come out of retirement?
Is Dave P. Baum's binder of proxies going to be pillaged out of existence?
Is top 4 going to split or play it out for all the marbles?
Are the HeroZone monthly Vintage tourneys finally going to get sponsored by Monster Energy Drinks?
Will MeanDeck dominate the tourney?
Will Juan Rod 3 for 1 himself and still prevail?

The only way to discover the answers to these questions is to make it there.

Only 17 more days till the tourney.

The week of tourney Bump!

I got a hold of my friends Cube so there can be some Cube Drafting if you go Onithopter. I will also have my EDH deck with me so that is an option as well.

These tourneys are really fun and the venue is sweet. There is so much awesomeness there!

-There is a bar across the street that has $1 drafts. 5 rounds, 5 drafts, 5 bucks, w00t!(this is very popular with the gamers)
-Ohio's finest MTG players will be there.
-Try and decipher Ohio mtg terminology and lingo.
-Sandwich Punch
-Josh "Coffee Cup" Chapple's last tourney before he moves to Colorado to hand out with that crew.
-Coffee cups as door prizes! (not the person mentioned above, well, if he wants to give himself out as a door prize we could do that too.)

5 days until game day.

Not gonna lie: I only own one coffee cup and could use at least one more.  I'm totally in it for the door prizes.

I will also be there to arbitrate any Sandwich Punches.

This should be pretty good.  I hear Matt Hazard's coming up from Columbus for this.  Good turnout for the first tournament of the Summer in Ohio.

Less than 24 hours to start time. Get your play mats ironed, your cards sleeved, and you game faces on.
With Lochinver81 there we are guaranteed to have a good time.

Random banter heard in conjunction with the tourney:

On the compitition-
Quote
"Yeah, but Meandeck's got guys named Laser, and Blazer, and Tazer, and all kinds of "azer's"! Without Thoughtseizes, we're going to get our taints handed to us, that's what!"

On aspects of winning-
Quote
"I found that if you have a goal, that you might not reach it. But if you don't have one, then you are never disappointed. And I gotta tell ya... it feels phenomenal."

On MTG-
Quote
"Magic the Gathering is a game of violence, exclusion, and degradation."

Casual players vs competitive players-
Quote
"It's time to separate the dogs from the cats, the men from the boys, the awkwardly feminine from the possibly Canadian."

On Sandusky having the HeroZone Vintage Tourney Circuit-
Quote
"Sandusky. A city built of wooden piers, broken dreams and $1 drafts. A city where you can get a happy ending, if you pay a little extra. A city home to a Magic event greater than the World Cup, World Series and World War II combined."

This turned out to be a great event! Attendance wasn't the best, but it was well worth the trip from Pittsburgh. Thanks for a well run Tournie.

Hey Mr. Michaels. When will the next of these lovely tournaments be held? I Assume the 28th of June, but you know what happens when one assumes.

I am shooting for the 28th of June so it will correlate With RIW's Time Walk Tourney. Nothing is set in stone as of yet, so do not make any plans. I'll post a date as soon as possible.
