Don't preregister me yet, Eric, but I'll do my best to make this one. Gotta figure out work schedule and stuff. It should be fun, though!

The pre-reg's are still rolling in.  Remember, if you pre-register by midnight tonight, you're entered into the drawing for the Foil ELD Proxy Mox Pearl.  Thanks again to everyone who takes the time to pre-reg.  It makes the events run as smoothly as possible, and makes my job a lot easier.  See you guys tomorrow.

Top 8:

1: David Laurence: Ichorid
2: Demonic Attorney: Pitch Long
3: Rich Shay: Pitch Long
4: Corey Fraser(me): Painter
5: James: Painter
6: Nick Rodrigues: Control Slaver
7: Dan: Mask Naught (Dark Illussions maybe)
8: Travis LaPlante: Shops (I only saw Shops when I saw him playing)

David, Chris, Myself, and Nick split in the top 4.

I didn't want to butcher James' and Dan's last names so I ommited them.

yeah ichorid was my only match loss all day, got paired with eastman in the swiss and managed to take game 1 with a well timed tormods crypt, then proceeded to lose games 2 and 3 sideboarded...  It was a new experience.  Of course I got paired with him again in top8 and bad things happened.

All in all was a fun time I hadn't actually played magic since ray's last tournament at stratford so it was cool to get out and see ppl again.  The new format is EXTREMELY travis-friendly, and I'm looking forward to the next tmd open so I can crush dreams with all my incredible plays.

Thank you to everyone who attended.  I hope to get a TO Report up by Wednesday.  Over The Edge Games in Worcester had enough space for even an extraordinary turn out.  The store was clean and well organized, and I'll be posting some pictures for everyone who wasn't able to make the trip.  The only issue with this new location was the heat as the day went on, and I'm working with the owner to resolve this issue before my next event with them.  The AC worked really well, but there wasn't enough circulation.  We're going to set up fans, to get the cold air moving.  Once we get the set up right, it will be a truly exceptional place to hold events.

Yah this event was a lot of fun.  I hope to have time for a short report later, but for now:

1.  Tourney was incredibly well run.  When I was last playing no one other than Ray ran tourneys this tightly.  The prize structure (laid out all day so we could oggle it) was awesome and added a lot to the event.  So props to ELD.

2.  I think that after swiss Chris was actually in first over me.   We were tied in the point lead at 4-1 but I'm pretty sure his tie-breaks were better than mine (correct me if I'm wrong).

3.  The format seems to be wide open.  It looks like it's going to be a great time for tech/innovation etc.  Put me down as one who likes the new restrictions -- they're a large part of what brought me back to a tourney.
