WOW, Vintage is stacked this summer.  There's so much action, I got bumped all the way to the second page!  The location has been set - we'll be returning to Stillpoint Comics in Fall River, MA.  Stillpoint has the largest gaming areas out of all the stores I work with.  My Black Lotus Event had around 50 players and they were holding a gaming convention at the same time, and we had plenty of space.  I look forward to working with them again.

The Vote for the August Custom Proxy is closed.  Grim Tutor will be the next card to get the Custom Proxy treatment.  I have been wanting to do Grim Tutor for a long time, it will be quite a challenge for me.

Less than a week to go to this event.  A lot of new players are starting to show up at Vintage events, and I'd like to thank these new players for their support.  I'd also like to let everyone know that I'm always buying all magic cards.  If it's a Magic card, I buy it.  If you have draft commons and uncommons, bring them by.  Binder full of junk rares - I'll take them all.  Good cards, bad cards, mint cards, played cards - it doesn't matter, I buy them all.  I put 100% of the entry fees towards the prizes, so it is always my goal to buy as many cards as possible at my events.

Pre-registration is now open.  I'm taking pre-registrations at the Facebook Group "New England Vintage", or via PM or at EricELD@comcast.net.  Stillpoint would like a heads up about attendance by Thursday, so I'll appreciate pre-reg's even more than usual for this event.  Thank you in advance to everyone - pre-reg'ing makes it so much easier on our end.

Well, I guess I'll be the first to pre-reg on the Drain.

So ELD i've been debating this for quite awhile... August 30th is when your's truly turns 21.  I wanted to have some cats here to play some magic but who knows, I could drag another female to a magic tourney *snicker*.  So would there be like maybe a birthday entrance fee and custom proxy if I goto this with a few people?  I think its reasonable I mean I am Outlaw.

Should I start a vote?

I'll guarentee I top 8 this if I go.  If not, i'll get piss drunk and not care.

Does Vintage not see me as the abomination that grew from a young gun to a full blown Outlaw?  I walk down the street and ladies gasp and are all WHOAMG thats the Outlaw.

No seriously, the Vintage community is really family to me.  I am heavily thinking about going to this if I can find transportation.

100% of the entry fees are put toward prizes, so there are no free passes unless you convince some of your friends to pitch in and cover your entry.  To do otherwise would be giving what is not mine to give.  What I can do is a drawing for a special Custom Card:

That's the very first Extended Art Dark Ritual that I ever finished.  I can offer it as a special bonus to be given out at random to anyone who's birthday is August 30th, and is an Outlaw.  Hope you figure out the transportation, as so far you've got the best shot of winning it.

To Outlaw
J Longo and his roomie both play magic and live in Boston so you should try and sway them with promises of debauchery after the tourney.

I live 15 min away from fall river now, but I just got done with my first week of graduate school and will probably scrub due to exhaustion and lack of deck experimentation. If you wanna throw a shindig at my place after feel free.
We'll play Magic the Bar-B-Q.

Pre-registration closes tonight at Midnight.  Stillpoint will be setting up their play spaces tonight, so an accurate pre-regestration is very helpful to all.  See you guys tomorrow!

An extremely enjoyable tournament as always. Finals was Rich Shay with Painter versus Jeff Carpenter with U/W Fish, with Shay taking it.

Thank you to everyone who made this event a success.  We were head to head with a PTQ, on a holiday weekend, and we still had a large enough crowd for me to give out a Mox Ruby, 4x Signed Force of Will, Foil Gifts and much more.  Full Report soon to follow.
