Hey all,

I'm tentatively getting back into the game and one of the things I've always enjoyed about Magic is its history and development.  I'm in the process of throwing together some casual mono-colored decks based on [booming voice]Great Decks in Magic History[/booming voice].  Each deck ends up being "legal" by the standard of the day.  I'm trying hard to avoid putting together either a white weenie or Humility deck for the white slot--neither appeal to me in terms of playstyle.  I did, however, spend all of the "Black Summer" playing prison decks in NH, which meant I spent a lot of time at Hammer's Comics in Manchester.  I know he and Baxter brought a mono-white prison deck to PT Dallas in 1996 (Baxter T8'd, Hammer blames his losses on getting Balance Hymned away all day) but either my Google-fu skills are weak or there isn't a decklist out there.  Does anyone happen to have one?  I figured there are enough old-time players here that someone must remember those decks.

Magic history is kind of my bread and butter; I too was playing type 2 at this time and also have many fond memories of those days.  The "White Trash" list that you are seeking can actually be found in one of Rakso's old Deck Parfait primers (though it is merely labeled as "Ice Age-era prison").  Ask and you shall receive:

4 Icy Manipulator
3 Winter Orb
1 Black Vise
1 Feldon’s Cane
1 Balance
4 Swords to Plowshares
3 Serrated Arrows
4 Wrath of God
4 Disenchant
4 Armageddon
1 Land Tax
1 Zuran Orb
1 Ivory Tower
4 Fellwar Stone
4 Thawing Glaciers
1 Strip Mine
3 Kjeldoran Outpost
16 Plains

I remember that deck. It was soooo mean esp vs. creature decks, they literally couldn't win.
I seem to remember that there was a off shoot version that ran 2 Titania's Song, and 1 or 2 forests as an alternate kill. Or am i thinking of a different deck?

Very similar deck--Baxter played that version at the '96 Nationals.  It also included a lone Deadly Insect, which interacted very well with Icy Manipulators since tapped blockers didn't deal combat damage back then.
