Thank you to everyone that came out to play yesterday. It was a very fun day, even though it was a little sweltering in the store. We had an awesome turnout of 24 people. Congratulations to the top 8 players: Shun Fukuda (Goblins!) Nick Escobar (Oath) & Justin Nguyen (Manaless Ichorid) John Harduvel ("Don't Daze me, Brah" aka UWB Fish) - Raymond Wong (R/U Fish) Joe Linwood (Donkeystax Returns) Hiro (Dirty Fish aka B/W Aggro/Control) Chris Tolar (Smokey Mountains) Decklists and a detailed report to come. Congratulations to Shun on the Mox, and to Nick on the Library!

So goblins took it down... really?
Just kidding, congratulations to all of the top 8, with special congratulations to Shun on the win and Chris for representing the team. It should also be noted that John Harduvel is a deck naming genius, bravo sir, bravo. I wish I could have made it, as it seems like an interesting and healthy metagame. A little heavy on the aggro and light on the rituals for my taste, but I'll be there next time to change that. Southern California owes a deep debt of gratitude to Justin, for not only hosting these tournaments but basically keeping the vintage scene alive down here, keep up the good work man, we all appreciate it. I would also like to thank everyone that traveled out to support these tournaments, and all the new comers, we need all the support we can get. See you all at the next one!

I really didn't draw anything relevant unlike in the swiss when I played Shun. Atleast Goblins won a piece of power that he could use.

It pained me not to see you there. I was so hoping you would come in and combo out the meta into oblivion. Maybe next time, sir. All in all, it was a healthy meta. Being knocked out early made for a sucky day, but everyone there was pretty cool. Maybe next time i wont be such a scrub, or maybe next time freaking Gio wont be so full of lucksackery!!!!

I've updated the decklists in the first reply. Hopefully there are a few of you out there still interested in what happened down in SoCal last month.

The top 8 were matched up as follows:
Nick E. (Oath) vs Raymond W. (RU Fish)
Joe L. (Stax) vs Justin N. (Ichorid)
Hiro (BW Aggro/Control) vs Shun F. (Goblins!)
John H. (UWB Fish) vs Chris T. (UbaStax)
The top 4 breakdown was:
Nick E. vs Justin N.
Shun F. vs John H.
Props to Shun for the win at his *cough* first ever Vintage Tourney!

*edited Hiro's list to include the missing 3 cards*
